Summary: The product performs for it's intended purpose. I initially bought it so I could access Netflix on my smart tv. Although it didn't seem to work that may be due to either my location or I didn't do it correctly. Other than that, the router works as it should.
The right balance between pro and house use. User friendly, great price.

Summary: This product works great, it's easy set-up for the self doer. Great reception, refurbish price way better than lower quality items. usb option is an excellent add-on, even if it slows the signal a little, it's still beats plugin the external HD to each computer every time you need to use it. my printer is available for all my household mobiles (need proper app to work, so play with it a little). but it beats having to go to computer once you found it on your smart phone.
Best For Price, Config Options, Great for When Upgrading Antenna.
13 November 2012
Summary: I have installed/used many of this perticular Brand-Model, dir-628, In Most Cases the Antennas were being Upgraded to Outside Mounted Antennas. Very Reliable. Very Good Config options. Full manuals, driver/bios updates available. Many Mounting Options. To get anything better, one would have to Step Up to the 10/100/1000 type router.
"This router is junk: continuous disconnections / slow."
11 March 2012
Pros: Good price and easy setup.
Cons: Continuously disconnects and must be rebooted/restarted - sometimes it requires unplugging from power in order to regain connection to modem. Mostly slow wireless connection with intermittent fast speed. Signal won't reach other side of 2600sqft home
Summary: I replaced my old Linksys G band router with this used D-Link N router, and the switch over was flawless. I simply followed the instructions on the included software, and I was up and running again under 30 minutes. Plus, I installed the software, read the manual on the disk for instructions, so that I can now send print jobs from my lap top to my printer through the router to the printer. I love it.
"Good speed and coverage but fails on USB connections"
21 June 2011
Pros: Good speed ratings, easy setup with Vista using the D-Link CD. Security is good and never locks up or drop any of the wireless devices.
Cons: USB port works great when it works, but has to be rebooted at least once in the typical 24hr period to restore the connection between the router and the USB devices. D-Link customer support is clueless. Dual band capability is not simultaneous. One band
Pros: Wireless-N 300 is great. I have walls with lead paint and this powerful router isn't effected much by them. I have a home server running Ubuntu Server Edition x64 11.04 LTS and this router has port forwarding and something D-Link seems to have dubbed "vir
Cons: It can't broadcast 2.4GHz and 5GHz simultaneously, and that is why I didn't rate it 5 stars.
