Summary: Bought it to create a WiFi Hotspot where the Internet connection is itself WiFi such as a hotel since this unit has good VPN passthrough capabilities. Did not need the included battery but suspect it will come in useful some time!
Summary: Checked into my hotel in Beijing and only had a wired internet connection available. Was easily able to connect my SharePort with password protection and connected by iPhone, iPad, and computer all wirelessly and working fine.
Summary: It works okay. Thought I could use it to stream movies from usb flash drive inserted. But feature length, i:e: 1.5 gig size, takes forever to load, never did finish letting movie load after several minutes. Also thought I could take to coffee shop and use it as secure wifi, You have to have wall jack with nic cable from isp then plug nic cable into device. Setting it up is the most confusing as ever, when you're dealing with network, routers, etc.
Summary: It is one of the best travel companions for products without an SD card reader. One can plug them into an USB reader and stream content from this device to them. It also works relatively well as a regular router to multiply one's connectivity. Some WiFi networks limit the number of devices that can be attached to them, such as hotels, and this device can multiply the number by using only one WiFi connection to the hotel while supporting many others from its own hotspot.
Good Product could be better if it had an ac adapter

Summary: This is a good product. I feel that way about it because it makes a public WiFi network private which is important at this time of increasing data breaches and identity theft. You can't be too careful when online. It was easy to setup too. I would have given it five stars if it came with an ac adapter. When I am able to plug it in to an outlet I would rather do that. Instead I have to constantly recharge the battery.
