Summary: I bought this router from Office Depot back in 2005 or so. It was my first router so I didn't have too much experience with routers at the time so setup took me about 1 hour and I'm fairly tech savvy. I did have to call tech support after I noticed my signal kept disappearing.
Summary: Overall, it's a nice simple, straightforward, reliable router. I've had mine for years, and set it up easily with multiple ISPs/high speed internet providers, and it's worked well with macs, pcs, wireless printers, etc.
Summary: I use a number of 802.11 b/g routers in homes and have always preferred these older D-Link 524's for three reasons: Form factor - They are in the form of a sturdy, compact rectangle that fits nicely in a crowdwd component-and-cable Leviton in-wall network cabinet.
Summary: I'm amazed at the number of negative reviews here. Mine is rev. A3; I bought it in March 2006. I updated firmware one or two times - once, I believe - since I've owned. The only problem I've had is that it has, on a few occasions, stopped sending a wirelss signal to my notebook PC.
Summary: I like this product, a lot. It is a great entry-level router. It does not have fancy things like QOS, but this is a budget router. D-Link even has a feature that is hard to find on other routers: static DHCP. With this feature, you can assign certain MAC addresses to pre-specified IP addresses.
D-Link make it pretty easy to get a wireless network up-and-running

Summary: This D-Link wireless router was easy to connect to for configuration but it took a visit to the D-Link site to figure out how to secure my network as the configuration utility was not intuitive. My two PCs use the G-122 USB key to connect to the network.
For its own time, it would get 4 star! now maybe less...

Summary: I use it even now in Oct 2013. Just as basic basic basic wifi router. Simply works. Updated firmware months ago to latest firmaware which is yeaaars old!! Just be careful as I read there is security problem with some wifi routers and this is among them too.
Summary: I have had this router for about 6 months. I upgraded from the 514 in order to get "G" coverage. If you take your time, follow the instructions, add a step to tweak the router using the online tools to suit your set up you will find this router works great. I literally set it up and forget it.
Summary: While the setup disc that came with the router did not help me set it up, I was able to call the manufacturer for support. It did cost me an additional twenty-five dollars to get their help since the product was out of warranty but I was very satisfied with the overall experience.
