Summary: This device enabled our family to have wireless internet through the 2 story house. Before installing we had very weak wireless signals in most of the downstairs area with our router located upstairs.
Summary: If you need to create a wifi network at your home where your current wifi setup cannot reach, this extender does the job. I followed the instructions closely and it installed with no problems and I now get 5 bars where there was only 1 before. I can also move it from room to room when necessary. Recommended.
Summary: I live in an apartment that is bogged down with other wireless routers. Using my wireless on devices that do not require a constant connection is OK (checking email, viewing web pages, etc...). Many people do not realize that most wireless signals drop out (at least for a fraction of a second).
Summary: I replaced a Netgear WN2000RPT WiFi Range Extender with this D-Link DHP-W306AV Wireless N Extender. The Netgear unit had lots of problems with just locking up, and to resolve the problems we had to restart the device (unplug, wait a few seconds, plug back in and let it restart and establish a connection back to my wireless router. The router is also a Netgear unit as well).
Works Great! Complicated Installation but I plan to add a second unit

Summary: I purchased my D-Link Wireless N Extender to get a stronger signal in the bedroom for my Ipad. It was a little hard to install but once I had it up and running it works flawlessly. I plan to add another one at the other end of the house and let my Dlink-655 cover the middle. I am very pleased with the performance and do not have any problems watching streaming video over the link.
Summary: I have an unusually figured house essentially with 2 wings. Unfortunately the router has to be in one of the wings vs center of the house. I have tried a number of networking gadgets to no avail. Thought I'd give the Powerline AV a shot. I had trouble at first, but after systemically going through the setup carefully, it worked. I connect one piece to the router and I have 2 AV wireless and one wired peripherals and now my entire house is networked!
Summary: I bought this DHP-W306AV unit with the D-Link DHP-307AV Powerline AV Network Adapter and Starter Kit. I already have a D-Link DIR-655 Wireless Router and the need of these equipment is that I live in a big & good apartment and the wireless signal is not strong in some areas. So the idea was to use the electric wire to expand both wired and wireless to the entire apartment.
Summary: I bought this item and did have a concern that it would not work with my existing power line equipment and at first I could not get it to work. I then unplugged and replugged my existing powerline network and it connected fine and managed to "clone" the wireless. Some of my outlets are not placed in the best positions - and that makes it a little awkward but I have moved it around from place to place and it works well. Having the RJ45 ethernet outlet is a bonus too.
