Thought this thing would be better. Maybe my expectations were just too high

Summary: Thought this thing would be better. Maybe my expectations were just too high. It's electronics and I'm not so good in that department so take that into consideration as to whether my review matters. But we shut this thing down at least once a week to restart/refresh and that seems to help.
Summary: This is a router that is definitely long in the tooth. The WiFi speeds are what you would expect for something of this age. Over wifi you might see a 10MB/s file transfer rate. While this is fast enough for most Internet services. Streaming media Via PS3Media Server or XBMC will stutter a lot.
Summary: For a gaming router they really don't make port forwarding easy. I like my Cisco-Linksys WRT600N a lot better because it offered many simplified port forwards/ranges/triggers. This D-Link doesn't even have offer enough settings to forward both my xbox and ps3, much less my pc, skype, and slingboxes.
Summary: experience drop signal quite often when there's multiple steady stream happen in my house. Turnning off multiple type of wireless does help, but that feature is part of the product. So that shouldn't be used as an excuse.
Summary: The router works well but not anywhere near as well as the reviews and description would have you think it does. The price is not to bad on this tho so it is worth it for the price, you get what you pay for?
Summary: This is basically the DIR-655 router with an LED screen on the hood, but side by side I have not experienced any different in game, bit-torrent or general network performance. It has however proven to be the least reliable of the two.
Summary: Looks like a great product. Promises to end my kid's complaining about lag time in his gaming because one of the rest of us is downloading music somewhere in the house. Comes out of the box and has cool blue lights and all sorts of buttons that give you status readings for this and that.
Summary: i have an old house, and i heard this would let me allow wireless on other floors. i get 30-50% signal within range through old 100 year old walls and floors. not bad, but i get disconnected often and have multiple connection problems with xbox and such due to my old brick walls throughout the...
Summary: I purchased this to replace an aging linksys wrt54gx2 and to take advantage of N technology. I did my research and this router seemed to score very good in testing. I had very high expectations. In practice I do not see any real improvement in range versus wrt54gx2.
