Summary: I bought the card to upgrade. I'd give it a 5, however, I have a Windows 8.1 computer and not until it was delivered did I find Linksys does not support this card for my computer. I was able to find a suitable driver. Add what OS this is compatible with.
Summary: I haven't owned this device very long (two weks) but at this point I am very impressed. I am paying extra for 20Mb cable service and could never achieve more than numbers in the ten to twelve Mb range. With this device I have yet to see anything under 22Mb!
Summary: Installation couldn't be easier, but kept dropping my connection. Contacted technical support. First time they had me assign a different SSID to my 5 GHz band and change channels. That worked for about 10 minutes. Contacted technical support again and she had me download the latest driver. Problem fixed. Connection stable and downloading at 5 Mbps and uploading at 1 Mbps.
Excerpt: I bought this little wonder to connect my wife's computer to our home network because the computer didn't have a wireless connection. Plugged it into it's USB cradle and was connected right away. Great little adapter for the money.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast, Fast Connection Speed, Reliable connection
Excerpt: Easy to Install and setup using the Linksys installation CD. Runs seamlessly at 144Mbps, very few drop-outs and when it does (usually when left overnight) it reconnects very quickly. Decent range; for example with my router in the basement this unit, on the second floor, gets "excellent" signal strength. Stand is useful for desktop use.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection Speed, Reliable connection, Secure Connection
Excerpt: After buying two other brands from Newegg I found this on sale at the same price as Newegg at Office Depot, so I bought it. I bought the additional warranty also. The first one lasted about twenty minutes it overheated, so I returned it. The second one has been working fine it was easy to set up and has been stable ever since.
