Head's up!

Dolly, Office Depot
7 September 2013
  • Excerpt: I'm not an expert in setting up a wireless system (more like amateur!), but I am learning! We bought 3 of these units for our small school. Here's what I learned: 1. These are refurbished, but that's not a problem. Just FYI. 2. You can't just plug this in and use it as is.

William E. Garrett, Amazon
14 May 2013
  • Summary: Router is fine but does not come with antennas. Cisco does not ship them with antennas so order them separately. Other than false advertising everything is good.

5 October 2012
  • Summary: I wanted to save the next person some headaches. This item is REFURBISHED. At the time of this review it does not say this anywhere int he title or description of the product. The only place it tells you that it is refurbished is in the item part number. It has a RF at the end.

Cisco / Amazon will not support you

William Mclean "xbill", Amazon
21 June 2011
  • Summary: I just purchased this industrial AP for testing and recreating a customer issue in our lab. The device was labelled as BRAND NEW- and sold directly from Amazon.com. (Amazon.com was the reseller of record) Unfortunately - it did not have the latest/supported/correct IOS firmware version pre-loaded...

Great Product

Todd M., Newegg
12 May 2010
  • Summary: These can be mounted vertically. I mount them using (Beam Clamps) in Warehouses. I attach the beam clamp to the back of the mounting bracket then I clamp it down on the beam 40' in the air. Mount the AP and use a (Zip Tie) to secure the unit. This allows you to see the lights from the floor.
  • Pros: Its Cisco. I have 10 of these running for over 2 years with no issues.
  • Cons: None
