Summary: I bought this because it has true concurrent dual band Wi-Fi. It did an excellent job on my upstairs floor. However it didn't give a strong signal throughout the rest of my house which is 2200 ft.² I ended up buying the ubiquity unify long-range wireless access point which blew this wireless access point away as far as strong Wi-Fi coverage throughout the entire house.
Great N WAP with VLAN support at a very good price
27 November 2013
Summary: I purchased this unit 6 months ago for my home network. I am using it with a Cisco 26XX router to provide routing between several VLANs, each on its on SSID. It has worked very well, and unlike several of the cheaper units, I have not had it freeze up, not even once. I did not have any significant difficulty configuring it, though because of the complexity of my set up, my expectations were fairly low.
Summary: Finally I found some clarifcation as to me not being the only one experiencing such poor range! As I read in the other reviews and experienced for myself, the range is extremely limited. We had to replace these units in a few houses after we installed them because the coverage just was not there. For the price, I would never buy this unit for any reason. Because I am a technician my first point after experiencing the limited range was to call tech support.
Summary: In many ways, the AGP-600H is a nice wireless access point, except for the most important part: wireless access. The range is extremely limited. If you are within five meters of the device and have direct line of sight, it works fairly well. At more than five meters, signal strength falls way off, and it's gone at 30 meters, even with direct line of sight.
All the Major Features Required for a Business WAP
SciFi Fan, Amazon
13 March 2013
Summary: This access point has all the major features required for a business WiFi Access Point - Multiple SSID, a/b/g/n 2.4 and 5ghz support, VLAN, and PoE We've deployed a couple of these in restaurants and they work well. When placed strategically, they cover approximately a 6000 sqft restaurant easily with a single access point. They work well with Netgear FS-726-TP switches and use less than 8 watts of power.
