Summary: Have 3 of these little guys, 1 still works, all purchased at the same time, one day they just went dead, sign of very cheap hardware. Also worth noting, they are very finicky when it comes to drivers, always check the revision number on the sticker below the card, even though they may physically look identical they use different drivers. Something to watch out for.
Works great - but had to change router settings first

Summary: I purchased this on Ebay and had to play around with it a little to get it to work with my Tivo & router. I have a Medialink wireless router, and I had to change the security mode on the router by disabling the WPA. I have to play around with it to see if it will work with another setting, but thought I'd mention it to heads up others who think this will always be a plug & play scenario.
Summary: Cheap fix to get older laptop wireless. I put one in my desktop to make it wireless to stream movies and youtube into family room. I think I bought the adapter to use this in my desktop here too. I think I paid less than $10 for it.
Summary: I purchased this item in order to connect my TIVO Series 2 to my home network and it worked flawlessly. Connecting the device was as simple as plugging the power in, and then plugging in the USB connector to the TIVO. From within TIVO, I entered the appropriate password for my home wireless router and I was done. TIVO connects and I'm in business!
Summary: Was always a skeptic on online purchases as to whether you will receive your item as advertised, esp given how inexpensive it was. Well, we were pleasantly surprised that not only was it as promised(brand new in the original packaging), it arrived very quickly & it worked(on an old laptop that we wanted to incorporate into our household wi-fi). We will definitely consider online purchases again through Amazon.
