Belkin Bluetooth adapter

Overstock
7 December 2008
  • Summary: Bought this Bluetooth USB Adapter three days ago and was unable to download the software...it was not compatible with my Vista 64 bit Home Premium...Maybe it will work with other systems. I replaced it with Kensington Bluetooth USB Micro Adapter and had GREAT and QUICK success with it. Plus, this adapter is tiny and can stay plugged in all the time. I can now print wirelessly!

A reasonable bluetooth solution let down by an appalling installation process

  • Excerpt: To the uninitiated, Bluetooth sounds like some sort of horrible disease that might afflict, say, a cow. In reality, it's a useful tool which allows electronic devices (such as mobile phones and computers) to share information with each other without actually being physically connected. The problem is that if you have an older computer, it may not have Bluetooth built in. This is where this handy little gadget comes in.

For £9.99 you really can't complain

  • Excerpt: I was asked to get a Bluetooth dongle for use with my PC at work and found this product. Being a purchase for work I was asked to buy the cheapest I could find and at £9.99 this seemed a bargain. I wasn't expecting much for that kind of money, but was pleasantly suprised. The Belkin Bluetooth Adaptor was relatively quick and easy to set up and I was using it within half an hour or so of unpacking it and it was at this point I hit the only snag I've had.

Works With All Bluetooth Enabled Devices Via USB

  • Excerpt: The Belkin Bluetooth USB Adapter is very useful technology which you simply plug into your USB slot. I actually got this about 2 years ago because I wanted to transfer photos and videos from my mobile phone to my PC and I didn't have a mobile phone cable to connect to the PC. So this was ideal rather than purchasing a cable which would have cost the same, but with this I can use it for other Bluetooth enabled devices such as my PDA or Laptop.

Belkin Bluetooth Adapter

  • Excerpt: This product is so simple to use. It comes complete with all software required. You just plug it in and away you go. This is a great device for transfering pics from your mobile phone to your pc. The one disadvantage I have found, and this may just be me being thick, is that I cannot seem to upload more than one pic at a time so it can be a time consuming business. Overall though, this is a handy little piece of kit to have. My daughter wouldn't be without hers.

Bluetooth dongles that work in XP SP2

eeyore220..., Ciao
15 January 2008
  • Excerpt: We have two of these at work which we use for Bluetooth development. Both adaptors are fully Bluetooth 2.0 compatible and support the following profiles: Object Push, File Transfer, Personal Area Network, Advanced Audio (Music Streaming), Audio Remote Control. Unlike the previous Belkin Bluetooth modules, the software supplied with these dongles works perfectly within Windows XP SP2!
  • Pros: Works with no hassle in Windows XP SP2
  • Cons: None
