disconnecting every 2 hours

armandonick, Ebay
10 November 2011
  • Summary: I suspect most of the people with issues or complaints have version 1000 and / or old firmware. Additionally one needs to use this in conjunction with 802.11n wireless adapters (preferably Draft 2.0 for future upgradeability / compatibility) in order to obtain the maximum benefit out of the router, at least from a wireless performance perspective. I recently purchased version 2000 of the N1 Vision (check the sticker on the bottom of the box).

Belkin Desktop Card: Just good, nothing more, nothing less

JReeve, Ciao
21 February 2009
  • Excerpt: "...I went for the reputable belkin brand. In all this is a good card and antenna set. It took me moments to set up and no installation disks or driver was needed, simply plug and play. The range on the antenna is very good, I pick up 3/4 wireless networks from my home all with decent signal. I managed to grab my card cheaply from ebay for about £25, in terms of value for money I think it is satisfactory, the card maintains a good connection and I rarely ...
  • Pros: Good range, reliable
  • Cons: Short antenna cable  +  strange connection between card  +  antenna

  • Summary: Provides the range I needed with good reception above a garage about 50m away and upstairs! As a bonus, looks good with the bright blue lights.
  • Pros: Simple to setup. Looks good. Works. Performance matches promise.
  • Cons: Expensive, even at $277. Perhaps would benefit from being able to connect a further antennae for even greater range?
