Summary: I suspect most of the people with issues or complaints have version 1000 and / or old firmware. Additionally one needs to use this in conjunction with 802.11n wireless adapters (preferably Draft 2.0 for future upgradeability / compatibility) in order to obtain the maximum benefit out of the router, at least from a wireless performance perspective. I recently purchased version 2000 of the N1 Vision (check the sticker on the bottom of the box).

Summary: After frustrating difficulties with weak connection speeds of 45 Kbps or lower and frequently dropped connections using older wireless routers, I was wary of the boasts the Belkin N1 Wireless Modem Router made on the box. However, since none of the competition appeared capable of improving things significantly, I opted to give this one a try.
Summary: This is a good router but doesn't have GB Ethernet ports like most others that are out there and there aren't may wireless channels I can connect well to without it dropping throught my house walls and things at a distance of 10 meter(ish). Now I have got it I would probable have looked at a different (D-Link) one but I am happy with it for now.

Summary: Bought this item on the off chance that it would improve wireless coverage and possibly help improve connection speed due to living miles away from the local telephone exchange, and only being able to get broadband from tesco as my isp. For a start I had a few issues setting the router up and had to phone the helpline more than a few times due to the overseas call center having a poor line connection. And just not being able to understand what was being said.
