Summary: I have had this item for a number of years. The router is stable and over the years , I had one issue with it and Belkin replaced the entire device :). I have the Version 2000. The only 2 slight peeves I have with the router are: 1> I cannot change the antenna and 2> version 2000 is not supported...
Summary: As far as routers go, I have always found that they aren't as easy to set up for the average consumer. Heck, they even have services you can buy. This router doesn't require a genius. I was pleasantly surprised that I was greeted by an internet explorer window that gave me step by step instructions.
Best Wireless N Router I Have Owned; Outstanding Warranty
8 March 2011
Summary: I have had my Belkin N1 since late 2009. It has been rock solid in reliability and has extended range for wireless connectivity. I get strong signals for my laptop & video game system in all levels of my 2-story home (including the basement), as well as out on my deck.
Easy setup, useful display, very good range and speed (ver. 2000, not 1000). See fix for disconnect every 2 hours.

Summary: I suspect most of the people with issues or complaints have version 1000 and / or old firmware. Additionally one needs to use this in conjunction with 802.11n wireless adapters (preferably Draft 2.0 for future upgradeability / compatibility) in order to obtain the maximum benefit out of the router,...
Summary: Yes, the buttons on the front are awful. I suspected other reviewers were being picky about it, but alas, the buttons are pathetic. However, I typically set the display for one particular view (i.e. upload/download speed) and leave it, so this is not a big issue for me.
Summary: By far the fastest wireless router I have worked with. Paired with the Belkin USB N1 adapter, I clock a consistent 300mbps. Setup is a breeze. This maybe a little biased since I am a rather experienced network admin but by all count since I don't have to manually configure anything, any layman...
Summary: The ease of setup is amazing! I have several devices that can access a wi-fi router and all of them were amazingly simple to setup. TRULY a plug and play device that is as powerful in options as it is easy to set up. If you considering a wi-fi router this one is well worth it.
Summary: I just replaced my Linksys WRT54G with the Belkin N1. I did so because I thought the Linksys was losing range after my home notebook PC routinely dropped its connection speed. Turns out it's my computer's wireless card that's having trouble, but I'm still glad I made the leap to N.
