Summary: have had this router for 1 day and it was very easy to set up and speed test was fast on my mobile devices. after using it I've noticed my laptop has full signal but is extremely slow to load a webpage and some apps on my phone won't work at all. the signal is far less than our old cheapy router that we are replacing in hopes of better signal, despite the packaging's claims of "ultimate range" unless you are right beside it there is no coverage at all where our old...
Summary: Puchased this from Wal-Mart after speaking with a technician at Belkin. Wal-Mart retails it for the same price that Belkin does except I did not have to wait for a shipment and it was in store. The install was easy with a CD and the Webserver page allowed configuration for my devices: 2 laptops, an ePrinter, 2 iPhones, and a tablet.
Summary: I'm returning it tomorrow morning. For 8 days this thing has dropped the connection constantly. I've tried modifying every setting, hard resetting, etc. I even thought it might be an issue with my internet connection. I disconnected the cable from the router and ran my internet connection straight from my modem and bam, no problems at all. Oh yeah, and I couldn't connect my all in one printer to my network using the trash software they offer. Total piece of trash.
Summary: This router is by far the worst I have ever bought or used. There is constant problems, disconnecting, inconsistencies, and what is even more annoying is that it randomly decides not to open a website that it opened 30 seconds ago. I did a lot of restarting and even returned to factory settings and it didn't fix anything. I tried changing settings and even looking up possible solutions for my many problems (and I mean many) but had no luck.
Summary: This router works very well. It's simple to set up, and has doubled the internet speed from my old 'n' router. The range was a little less than expected but in my apartment I have coverage throughout the entire area, and also outside. On a daily basis I run a laptop, 2 iPhones, 2 xbox's a tablet and an ipod with no problems, or diminished speeds. I've had it for around 2 months now and have not had to reset it once.
Summary: Very inconsistent coverage. Lots of manual resets. Spent almost 2 hours on the phone with customer service last night for them to determine the product has 'bricked'. Customer service approves a RMA to replace but you have to call a different number to start the RMA process. After another 2 hours and MANY layers of management, the product is being replaced but with no warranty coverage. Why you ask? Because I do not have my original receipt.
Summary: Bought this back in October thinking the cost ($129 then) and the Belkin name would prove for a good unit. What a mistake. Long story short, here's what we encountered in 3 months of use: -random loss of signal for up to an hour on both or just one of the frequencies (usually early morning) -slow to connect on device startups (takes a few tries to connect on an ipad, delayed connection on the iphone) -random websites stop responding (almost as if dns servers are down)...
