What adapter not to buy for gaming.

Danny N., Newegg
26 June 2013
  • Summary: I highly recommend getting another usb adapter instead of Belkin products, very cheap material, isn't very complex at all.
  • Pros: Easy installation, pretty much it.
  • Cons: Stops working to potential for ongoing 20 minute sessions, I have to unplug the usb adapter and let it rest and cool down for 5 minutes before I can proceed with my gaming.

  • Pros: Easy setup. It took 5 minutes or less to install.
  • Cons: 1st day was fine, the next day I got limited or no internet connectivity. Secondly, the speed kept fluctuating. I replaced my previous adpter so I can take advantage of the higher speeds but the most I get is 364 mb going down to 124 mb. I never seen any of my other adapter speeds fluctuate like ...

Network Access in Minutes

John M., Newegg
15 August 2012
  • Summary: The only piece of networking hardware I've ever installed that actually worked the way it was supposed to in under 5 minutes.
  • Pros: I took it out of the box, installed the CD, rebooted and wham, it found my network and I was good to go. I am pulling 30Mbps in USB 2.0 and 35 Mbps out of USB 3.0. so I am getting my maximum network speed, too! I should also mention I have a Belkin Router, so as I had hoped there are no compatibi...
  • Cons: It's big. If you have widely spaced USB ports that aren't up against the side or corner of the case you can plug this in. It may not fit if you're planning on using a port in a tight spot, though.
