A very reliable router after you've loaded Tomato on it.

R. Iredale, Amazon
13 March 2016
  • Summary: Works great after you load Tomato firmware on it. In fact, it is so reliable and versatile that I bought a second as a spare (I've have 2 D-Links fail over the years--the WiFi burns out). Very stable too--never had to reboot. Not once.

Reliable product, slow speed.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
28 September 2012
  • Summary: I always liked ASUS products and this one didn't fail me as well. Good connection and reliability. The only serious concern for me was the speed. No matter what I did, even after flashing the product with DD-WRT the speed would rarely be higher than 10Mbit.

Defective!

Joshua Harazin, Amazon
26 July 2012
  • Summary: Router was defective right out of the box. Asus customer support never told me exactly what may have been wrong with it, they just recommended that I return it after a short troubleshooting session. It just would not communicate with my modem.

Very good Router. You don't need 3rd party if you don't want to bother.

Z. L. Oo, Amazon
22 June 2012
  • Summary: We have over 200 of those out in the field. We have use Belkins, Netgears, Linksys, D-Link. After we installed one those we get a call require to reboot to regain connection. After we switch all previous and new customers to this router NEVER get any call with router issues. Solid router.

Wanted to love it

Jacob Ashford, Amazon
3 May 2012
  • Summary: The Asus rep who responded to my original review went to great lengths at no added cost to me (they covered shipping) to replace the last router which has been running problem-free for the last year without the need for a single reset.

Don't bother with it.

M. Watmore, Amazon
28 February 2012
  • Summary: I purchased this to replace an unreliable D-Link router, based on reviews touting this unit's reliability with third-party firmware. It may very well be that this router is awesome with different firmware, but that fact was useless to me since the unit I received simply would not connect to the...

Great router for the money

Lenz, Amazon
24 February 2012
  • Summary: One star off for the mail in rebate. Doesn't every one hate mail in rebates??!?!? I ordered this one by accident. I thought it had "N" capabilities, but it does not. I kept it for the Tomato compatibility.
