Summary: router only goes up to G, so cant try it out at N speeds. drivers were a bit finicky to install on xp, (used the Version 18.104.22.168 utility package from the asus site).
Pros: works out of the box, both windows xp and 7. signal strength varies less than old laptop's built-in wifi. signal isnt any stronger, but does seem to drop out less often comparatively. includes a usb extender cable, which is stiff and will hold whichever shape you bend it to.
Cons: usb extender cable appears to not work at all. either mis-wired, or has a loose connection. doesnt work with the wireless adapter, doesnt work with flash drives or other usb devices lying around.
Summary: I have a few of these at home and they all work without any problems. Setup is easy, just install the drivers and plug in the N13. That's all! Range is good, speeds are consistent, and connection is stable. No problems at all, performs as expected.
Pros: Easy setup, Good Range, Strong wireless connection and stable
Summary: Bought this to replace my PCIE card that was working but was taking to much place since I have a mAtx board. This one is great work perfectly. Don't use wifi n like most people, think about the speed of your HDD :).
Pros: Faster then what I need, connect rapidly, small and works on Ubuntu
Cons: May be smaller can surely easily broke if you hit it by inadvertence
Summary: Contrary to my beliefs, this wont work right out of the box with Linux, and getting it to work won't be that easy. The product itself still works great once the drivers are all set up, and using it is to work in Windows 7 is easy as pie (just plug it in.
