Summary: Pros - Small Device. Good extensive installation, configuration software. Kid likes the blinking blue light. In the room where I use the laptop that I bought the adapter for it only sustains 58 mbps, only 4 mbps above 802.11g. The best is momentarily it will reach 74 mbps.
Summary: I have one of those Dell laptops that has the Broadcom 4313 chip. As such, my wireless would not work. After multiple attempts at getting the Broadcom chip to work, I finally decided to just get a USB adapter. I wanted a small one because the idea was to leave it plugged in all the time.
Summary: So, my airport card died. I needed something to replace the card (which is interal and difficult to replace) I saw one reveiwer say he got this working with Mac OS 10.6.3. So, I order this and put the CD in my computer. The drivers are only for Mac OS 10.5.
Excerpt: Tiny Weak. The adapter was employed on a desktop and it could not retain a useful connection with a trendnet router only a few feet away. Yea, I could blame the walls amongst them. But my netbook and laptop perform quite well in the very same spot. RMAed it and ordered a PCI wireless card rather.
Excerpt: Great Speed. Quite modest. Effortless installation. Very challenging RMA method. Failed soon after much less than 2months. Incredibly difficult to find rma method. No response from ASUS. They make it more affordable to obtain a new 1 then to get a RMA replacement.
