  • Excerpt: For what we need this works just fine. I thought the range would be a bit better based on others' reviews, but it's certainly not terrible.

  • Summary: So I'm with Xfinity (Comcast) for cable, voice & internet, except they have a 'known issue' with the Wi-Fi router in their NEW cable modems. At some point after the firmware is auto-updated the Wi-Fi signal becomes practically inoperative. I could not access a good enough signal to run my SMART TV and the laptop connection was slow. If I wanted Wi-Fi access in my 1500 sq. ft. apartment, the ‘fix’ was to BUY and install my own 'N-Series' router.

ASUS RT-N66U Dual-Band Wireless-N900 Router

Jules Li, REVIEW STREAM
22 March 2014
  • Excerpt: I’ve set up many networks connections, and I believe the RT-N66U is one of the best routers that you can buy. With that being said, it’s on the expensive end, but I believe it’s worth it, particularly for someone that’s looking for a high quality device. If you’re interested in the price, it’s currently priced at 160 dollars on Amazon. The next aspect that I want to address is the design and construction.
