Gglad I bought it and it lives up to its reputation

Summary: The router installed easily and has been a real performance increasing item. I installed it in place of a DSL wireless modem which was always dropping the WIFI connection. Now the connection stays up and it is much more convenient to use the WIFI upstairs and the desk model with the modem down stairs. This is a solid unit, small dimensionally but large in capability. I bought this one due to price but the ASUS brand is what I wanted to get into.
Summary: This is my favorite router. I love how easy the firmware is, and how simple it is to use as a repeater. In fact this is my second one, because when we use one as a router and the other as a repeater. I could not be happier.
For Router/AP it is great-as a Repeater it is questionnable.

Summary: I have A ASUS RT-N12 already and I use it as an Access Point. The current modem/router which is needed for the specific internet provider only generates a "G" SSID. The AP works great by generating a "N" signal for my wi-fi N equipment. I bought this 2nd one to use as a Repeater (It can also be used as a Router). Using it as a Repeater, it did not successfully connect to any SSID I had and in another location it connected only once.
Summary: It's a great router made even better if ASUS firmware is replaced with a flash of DD-WRT. BEWARE of the power adapter that it comes with, it is total garbage and will fail fast enough and make the router itself act like it's frozen with fast flickering front panel leds or just totally dead.
