Very Frustrating Junk

Detroit Bass, B&H Photo
2 July 2015
  • Excerpt: Worthless in my Dell i5 quad core desktop for the most part...connects, then disconnects. I am 30 ft from my wireless router. Going to replace. No software upgrades available. Junk. I did I.T. work for years. Best to stick with a Dell based product.
  • Cons: Difficult To Set Up, Slow Connection Speed, Unreliable connection

Works perfectly in Linux

t-punk, Amazon
28 June 2014
  • Summary: So far this product has proven to work in both Ubuntu and in Kali. I will be trying it with Centos in the next week. It gets a strong signal and worked right out of the box without any tweaking. That is about all you can ask for from a wireless card in Linux so 5 stars it is.

  • Summary: Ok, I will first say the con is not a con, Wireless-A is not needed, but I try to have some good and bad to say. The reason I purchased this was the low-profile kit. I have a small form factor desktop case which required the small bracket. Not all devices have this as an option.
  • Pros: Low profile, Low price
  • Cons: No Wireless A

Just What I Needed

Cyclingmike, B&H Photo
30 May 2014
  • Excerpt: I installed this card on a machine that has Windows 7, so I needed to use the Asus disk for the drivers. For me this was in effortless install and it was just what I wanted. I had to make sure I had a PCI express bay open on my computer before I purchased.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection Speed, Reliable connection

  • Summary: Works very well. Was very easy to setup and install on my mobo. Hasn't dropped my connection at all and I'm 30+ feet from my router. Delivery was extremely fast, and I live across the country. 10/10 would recommend to anyone on the fence.
  • Pros: Very easy to setup and install.
  • Cons: None that I'm aware of yet.

Perfect backup for when my router is down

F. Pfeiffer "taichifrank", Amazon
9 February 2014
  • Summary: Since I live very close to an Optonline hotspot this is a great backup network card for my desktop. Installation was very easy and instead of using the CD I downloaded the latest drivers from asus.com.
