Summary: Installed new router without a hitch and is worked brilliantly. I had problems with my phone and tablet - neither connected to my Netgear but the Asus works flawlessly and is much faster too and both connect reliably and fast. I use Remote Desktop to control my desktop (in the office) from my laptop (in the living room) and it is so much faster and never fails to connect. I get a stronger signal too.
Summary: This was a breeze to set up, has much better wifi coverage tham my old Belkin. I have it on the ground floor and it gives a good strength signal in upper 2 floors and basement, where my old router struggled to cover the ground and first floors. A bit pricey, but well worth it IMO.
Top Notch Wireless Performance, ADSL Stable, VPN excellent
7 February 2014
Summary: I've owned this router since Feb 2013, having purchased from Amazon. I'm writing this review now (Feb 2014) for 2 reasons: 1. I've owned the router for a year and I have very good experience of it. 2. I've just had it replaced under warranty due to Wireless failing (2 days short of 1 year) Prior to purchasing this router, I had relied upon cheap or ISP provided routers. However they kept breaking, mainly wireless would stop working.
Summary: Awesome... i needed it tp extended my wireless network further inside the house.to my ea repeater e66. I used.to.have ciasco router which would always cut off / interupt the signal . Now am enjoing 3 full bars of wireless instead.of just one that most likely break off anytime and.with 1 -2 bqr max.
Summary: This unit has much substantially improved wi-fi signal in my house - areas in the house at both ends, that previously did not receive a signal [with my free Plusnet modem] now receive two or three "bars" and my garage where it was impossible to get a signal now has a [admittedly slightly dodgy] one bar.
Summary: Finally found a quality, high-end router. Connected to the internet without any hiccups. GUI is informative and cool. I had the TPLINK TD-W8968 and the Linksys WAG120N modem routers before but this is the best router I ever had.
Summary: I replaced an old Netgear router as it was becoming unreliable after 5 years good service. So far, this product has just sat there, solid as a rock, never disconnecting, never losing wireless connectivity, just silently doing its job. Pretty too, with a sleek look, a nice understated size and colour and some informative but unobtrusive blue indicator leds. A quality product.
Summary: Easy to set up using the disc, works perfectly as advertised, very good range (even in stone built old house with thick walls). Only potential worry is that if we ever did need to contact Asus the phone numbers given in their literature do not work!
Summary: I bought this router because I was sick and tired of signal dropouts and poor speed from my older Linksys router. One of the main reasons I chose this one over other models was for the VPN function, so that I could connect to my home office securely and access NAS drives and file shares. I also looked at other routers like the Fritz!Box range, but despite being feature packed, the VPN function isn't enormously easy to use or setup said a friend.
