When it works it is great

Professor, Radioshack

  • Summary: My house operates wirelessly, from streaming shows to working in my office so the appeal of the product is enhanced connectivity. The problem I continuously run into is that the connection is frequently lost and I need to reconnect the booster.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Fast Connection Speed

Amped Smart Repeater Simply The Best Repeater for Power and Reliability

Nauseous, Amazon
12 December 2013
  • Summary: The Amped Smart Repeater is the best that I've used and most reliable. Remember it's a wireless repeater with 10000 ft radius and is very powerful and can be extended with optional antennas, cable conversions, and amplifiers to improve signal. I just purchased another for two way bright, ha with fail-over. I love it but wish for a few more features such as channel switching if I decide to change my main wireless AP.

  • Summary: I needed to extend our wifi from one house to another house that is 200 feet away. We could pick up the router signal on our laptops in the 2 rooms closest to the router house. The Amped Extender said it needed at least a 75% signal strength to work properly and it received 90% from the router 200 feet away. We now get full bars on the laptops and smart phones in the whole house. Very easy setup. Internet speed is a lot better than from the weak signal router alone.

  • Summary: We have a detached pole barn that we use a lot (at least 100 feet away from our house). The only downfall is that our wireless signal from out house was terrible out there. We on a good day had one bar and could never do much with it. We finally broke down and bought this repeater, the best choice ever. It set up in about 5 minutes and we now have full signal out there. I am even able to skype without a problem.

  • Summary: This product does not meet expectations. It says for up to 10000 sq ft. The range is far less than that. I wouldn't recommend.

  • Summary: If you want power get this extender and leave the others that cost less than 100 bucks on the shelve. I would have got the Amp router R10000G if I had known about it and probably would not have needed an extender.
