Summary: I bought one of these units from Costco. It only lasted 3 years and completely shut down. I can repair it myself; but, the parts will cost well over $100 and I only paid $200 for the unit. I LOVE the basket/bin in the bottom--you can store magnums and large wine bottles there. Yes, I buy cheap wine sometimes and that bin is perfect... That I'll miss as the more expensive units don't usually have that extra bin. It is indeed a tight squeeze in the racks.
Summary: Purchased this from Costco. It's a compressor based system so it's heavy. Brought it into the house, waited 36 hours (they suggest 24) to plug in and NADA, Nothing Niet, The control panel flashed, beeped and that was all she wrote. Now I have to haul the POS back to Costco. I can't believe that a company with Vino in their name can make a cooler too narrow to fit 5 of the larger variatel bottles across. Stupid Stupid Stupid.
Summary: Good thing I got this product as a present or I would have return it. It looks nice but does not fit 34 bottles as advertise, not much space. Almost 2 years it has broken down and the part they told me will cost $62 to replace. I explain to them what it is doing, making the "clicking" noise and they think it is a "relay overload" that is broken. Warranty is only 1 year for parts. My friend got it too and the same part break down within 1 year so it got replace for free.
Summary: We have one for our red and decided to get one for our white wine Vinotemp is the best so far. We love that this wine cellar is so quiet. We tried a Haier and it was so noisy had to send it back. So far Vinotemp it is working out.
Summary: Great product. So far no issues. Wife uses it primarily for red (we rarely have white) so we didn't need dualzone. I found that all of the dual zones i found were designed to hold a lot of white, and a few reds.
Pros: It's a wine fridge backed by the VinoTemp name at an affordable price
Summary: Belive it or not, the spacing between the depressions in the shelves is about a quarter of an inch smaller than the witdh of most typical wine bottles. This means you have to leave every other slot open and can't put one bottle directly above another on a tray. I could only fit 2 to 3 bottles on a shelf that was suposed to fit 5. I bought two of these and returned them both in exchange for 32-bottle Cuisinart coolers (that actually hold 32 bottles).
Pros: Nothing, the wine bottles don't fit in the trays.
Cons: Typical wine bottles don't fit in the trays.
Summary: Just had it delivered yesterday. Pluged it in and had 5 bottles as per the instructions. After 3-5 minutes the features on the front shut off and you can't do anything with it except unplug and try again. After 5 attempts gave up. Hope I can return to store as I don,t plan on spending another $90.00 to ship it back. I have a Vinotemp 12 bottle and it works great.
