Summary: I've had my cellar frig for almost 2 years- works great actually I got 2 of them for my space. it is a wine cellar not cooler. if you want a cold wine then just get a small refrig, not a wine cellar refrig! it keeps wine at cellar temps. perfect for maintaining wines. when I'm ready to drink a white ...then I transfer to my main frig to cool it down to what I like to drink it at. good price.
Summary: Stay far, far away from anything manufactured or "serviced" by Sunpentown. After five months of owning this piece of garbage, it just stopped working. Just went dead, for no apparent reason. Rather than honoring their warranty and sending me a replacement, they made me SEND THE UNIT back to them, at a whopping price of almost $40 in postage. (Looking back, I was a complete fool for falling for this.
Summary: We have been very pleased with our wine cooler. If I were to have any criticisms of it, it would be that it can be hard to fit wine bottles that are bigger around into some shelves. It doesn't always chill a wine as much as we prefer but that's more a personal preference since we like some of our wines to be cooler.
Summary: We have had this unit for almost one year. We have it set for 55 degrees, and it keeps that temperature nailed. We have it set on a kitchen counter, adjacent to our ovens, but with the specified clearances for air flow at the sides and back. No complaints at all. We are considering purchasing a second one to give us more storage for red wines.
Summary: I just bought this a couple of weeks ago. It is great so far. It holds either small bottles or large bottles of wine. If you use large bottles, you just have to remove the shelf above. It keeps the wine cool and is quiet. The only draw back was that it was too tall to put on the counter if you have over counter cabinets. I put it on a small table in the utility room. It is a perfect size otherwise.
Summary: I purchased this item as a gift for my husband in December, thinking it was a good deal. It was not working by April. The unit never even cooled down to a temp at which you would want to drink a white wine. Eventually the buttons got stuck and it wouldn't leave the number 17 (I have no idea why). You're covered under warranty for a year but, of course, you have to cover the shipping back to the repairs center. I'm not even going to bother shipping it back.
