Summary: Bought it, plugged it in, added wine, and it seemed to cool fine for a couple of months. We unplugged it for about a week when it was empty. Plugged it back in, and it won't cool at all. Given the reviews, I'm guessing there will be a class action suit sooner or later.
Summary: JUNK! Purchased this cooler 3 years ago,(from another site). It ran constantly, even in the winter when the house is cooler. IT QUIT WORKING AT ALL in 2.5 yrs. Even then, when using a thermometer, it NEVER COOLED to the displayed temp. Ever. Always about 10 to 30 degrees higher. Other than the fact that it barely did any cooling, it is a nice design of the cabinet & LED control panel. Too bad it just doesn't work worth a d...n!
Summary: I bought this unit and one side failed after about 3 months. The company was not that helpful. I am having to buy another unit (full price) and then use the shipping container from that unit to ship the defective unit back. SAVE your shipping container for at least a year! Once they get the defective unit back they say that they will reimburse me for the price of another unit. This is not a good way to do business.
Summary: While my first unit was packaged very well, it was delivered with a hardly noticeable dent albeit on one of the front door panels. I was able to return for a replacement at their cost, and while the return shipment arrived less than perfect, "so far so good," (about 10 months). Unit is attractive, works well for cooling wine temps (I keep both of my whites/reds in the 50's), looks great, and runs quiet(not sure why others experienced otherwise).
Summary: My husband bought this for me for a Christmas present 2 years ago. 9 months after it started making a tick.tick noise and we would unplug it then plug it back in. It would run for about a week and do it again. Shortly after that it stopped keeping the wine at the temp we had it set,so we turned it down thinking it would keep it cool.
Summary: The wine cooler itself works well. I like that it has 2 temperature contolled sides, so I put white wine on one side at a lower temp, and red wine on the other side at a higher temp. One consideration: the cooler generates a lot of heat, so use it in a well-ventilated place where the heat can escape. I bought this to go in a custom built-in space in our new kitchen.
Summary: We put this in our kitchen. It goes well with black/stainless appliances. It keeps wine at the temperatures we set. If the house is quiet, we do hear a slight "air flow" sound of the unit staying at temperature, but it does not bother us. Have not found anything we don't like.
Summary: Works perfectly even in what would be considered a built in space. I did create an "exhaust" space in the back and venting on the sides. Very quiet and a true dual zone cooler not like some brands that claim to be dual zone but are not separate from each other. Very pleased. Second product I buy from EdgeStar and would not hesitate to buy another.
Summary: I bought this wine fridge. At my Open House a guest cut themselves on the edge of the door due to poor workmanship. The 1st day!! I called EdgeStar and they said it was made that way. I said really? I would like to talk with another person. He said NO. He was qualified to deal with my situation. I said clearly you are not since a guest should not cut themselves on the door.
