Crashed and the replacement parts are very expensive

Summary: 1) I got this model as a present. When it worked, it did the job... but this last less than two years. One of the CB just crashed and it stopped working completely. 2) The EdgeStar company charges $48 for the same part, and I actually don't know if I need to replace both of them which will come up to almost a $100. Why a CB that is made in china (like the whole cooler) should cost so much?!?! Stay away from this model your enjoyment is very limited and short!
Summary: Unit worked great for just over 90 days. Now the dual zone unit set at 54 and 64 degrees is cooling both zones at 45 degrees. Since it is beyond the 90 day warranty, I must find my own technician to diagnose the problem. Parts will be supplied by the manufacturer, but labor to diagnose and repair are the privilege I have for owning this unit. Worked for Christmas. That's about it.
Summary: The fridge worked very well for the first few months, but it gradually stopped working completely in about 14 months. First- It went from quit to louder and louder. Then the digital displays stopped working. Shortly after that the top refrigerator section stopped working completely. and finally the bottom refrigerator section topped working completely. Save your money and go with a different manufacturer.
Summary: This was a very quiet and good looking wine fridge, but it only lasted less then two years before it quit. I haven't been able to find a service provider to fix the unit so it looks like I have to get a new unit. I won't be buying Edgestar for my next purchase.
Summary: When working, this wine fridge was a nice addition to my wine bar...Just the right capacity and features. 20 Months later and the bottom zone cooling has failed. Seems that this unit has a poor circuit design and is prone to these failures. I expect at least 10 years before needing replaced....now this is a throw-away....too bad. Will not be buying anything made by EdgeStar again.
Summary: The unit is very nice looking and holds lots of bottles. But, parts fail on it frequently. We have owned ours for about four years now and have replaced a cooling node and the main circuit board. I just called customer support because the bottom cooling node just failed and was told "cooling nodes are like light bulbs and fail over time". Not acceptable to have to replace parts every couple of years. I would not recommend this unit to anyone.
Summary: In comparison to the other owners, I guess I'm lucky that mine lasted 3 years, which really isn't that long. I can see blinking red LEDs from the side panel which I've decoded to mean: "You bought a piece of crap!

Summary: IF this company is publicly traded I promise I will short their stock. They UBER-SUCK. Really poor customer service, obviously this company is a bottom feeder that should not be allowed to live. Don't waste your money - buy better quality - check what top of the line sellers like Costco - or Sam's club are selling - at least with costco they have a good return policy....
