Summary: Works well no complaints so far, however, the order page shows a legacy mode number (which is what I wanted) and instead I got the newer model. The new one doesn't fit bottles as well as the old model. Some slots have to be turned bottle neck in. Ah well. It chills wine.
Summary: Priced right, looks nice, but doesn't last! It's strictly a "throw away" because too hard to find anyone to fix them and if you did it would cost more then buying a new unit. Pay a little more and buy a brand with a better warranty.

Summary: This was purchased as a wedding gift, and was shipped directly to their home. The recipients did not get a chance to open the box until after the wedding and honeymoon. Once it was opened, it was discovered that there was a dent in the unit, and that once plugged in it made a very loud noise like the motor or fan was broken. There was no paperwork in the box indicating the company name or who had even purchased it for them.
Summary: We were happy with this wine fridge until it abruptly stopped 18 months after we bought it. The problem is electrical - I assume a faulty circuit board. I have contacted Avanti customer service three times with no response, and after reading the other negative reviews here, I don't have much optimism that they'll cooperate. If my experience is good, I'll update here - but my one-star product review won't change.
Summary: Worked well for two years then died. Very good temperature control and sound level when it worked -- even more quiet now. I would not buy another Avanti product because of the poor reliability of this one. I checked the manual and it indicates that if the power doesn't come on to check my circuit breaker. I plugged another wine cooler into the same circuit and it works fine.
Summary: My wife bought this for my birthday about a couple years ago. It was fine when it was working. However, the cooling function just stopped working recently. The interior light still turns on, so the system is getting power. Tried contacting Avanti for help, but not only were they rude, they couldn't even recommend a service technician. It turns out that the cost of repairing will likely exceed the cost of the unit.
Summary: I know that AVANTI and other thermoelectric coolers due failures. SOME TIPS: 1) Keep thermoelectric in a place that is cool and out of sunlight. They usually only do 30 degrees below room temp and you could burn it out in a hot place. 2) It is a chiller, so the temp is around 51-62 degrees. So don't expect super cold and if you are trying to go more than the 30 degree below room temp, then you might burn it out.
Summary: Have used the product before; liked it and ordered another. Came in looking like a forklift had hit it. Had to pay the return shipping, and a month later I still have no product. Had I known this I would have paid a few extra bucks and bought local. I will submit another review/retraction if/when this is ever resolved.
Summary: My wife purchased an avanti cooler for my birthday 18 months ago. It was a bit noisy but worked. However, it stopped working so we called because it came with a two year warranty. However, when you call the company they say it isn't under warranty and wish you luck. Then when you call back to point out that they are not being truthful they tell you that will cover the compressor if you go to an authorized repair facility.
Summary: I had two problems with this unit. 1) The manufacturer's packaging is inadequate for shipping (not Amazon's fault). I received two units (the second a replacement for the first), both were damaged in transit, and both have been returned. The first, the glass door was shattered, I suspect because the shelves were not well anchored inside (ironically, the manufacturer's handbook warns against shipping with loose shelves - they should take their own advice).
