Not impressed

Paradox, Amazon
8 December 2013
  • Summary: I don't understand why there are so many camera angles and stupid lighting changes just as the dancer is changing moves. I want to follow the instructor, not see "special effects." This alone makes me not want to play because it's very annoying and distracting. Some of the workouts are good, others are kind of slow, and this is coming from a beginner exerciser who has 20 pounds to lose. I get a better work out playing Just Dance.

Fun, in general.

Becky, Amazon

  • Summary: I like all the zumba wii games... except one big factor. that waistband? Yeah I HATE IT. it rides up within ONE song and then it doesn't score you properly. So I play without it (which allows for more movement and a better workout) and then of course I score a 0 and that's kind of annoying. Maybe future games should allow a scoreless play.. like the normal DVDs, which I like a LOT LOT LOT more.

like the class better

Ashley Noel Ramos, Amazon

  • Summary: it is a wonderful work out but I feel like its impossible to dance and get good results without the belt or remote falling so I tend to just do it without the belt and get a bad score but it is still super fun

Not a good beginner's guide to zumba, poor quality graphics.

benandalex87, Ebay
8 April 2013
  • Summary: This is the beginning generation of movement based gameplay. It will work as long as you move the controller (no matter which way or how). Dance styles are not easily learned, as the computer goes to fast for you to fully grasp what they are doing. There is not much in the way of choices for music, most of it is latino based. Visual performance is very poor, mostly just lights flashing and a poor CGI background.

Difficult to follow for someone new to Zumba

Sam the man, Amazon
28 February 2013
  • Summary: I've not done zumba before and found that the instructions were not always clear. All the dance steps are not in the instruction only the basics. For some workouts I couldn't follow what I needed to do. Workout was good in general.

User Review

Salsagirl69, Walmart

  • Summary: I am incredibly dissapointed with this tape especially for the price I paid ; there's no variety on any of the classes; you pretty much do the same thing over and over; each class might have one new dance routine, but that's it; if I do a cardio and/or core class, you end up doing the same steps to the same music.

I have complaints about this game

phenique , GameStop
18 January 2012
  • Summary: 1. it doesn't track use (i.e, how long sessions last). I like to know, without having to write it down, how long I've worked out and my progression toward the next level. 2. the sensor doesn't pick up many of my movements, especially belly dancing. 3. there is no option for exiting the program. 4. I found the tutorial to learn the steps hard to catch on to, and it blew through many of the movements. 5.

Zumba for Wii

ldon526, epinions.com
21 April 2011
  • Summary: It's fun and I can do it at home. Some drawbacks may leave you thinking a Zumba DVD workout is a better choice. Check out which one meets your needs.
  • Pros: Fun, unique workout, numerous levels and routine lengths
  • Cons: No audio cues, very similar to a DVD

Not what I thought

Magdalena , GameStop
2 March 2011
  • Summary: This game is not what I thought it would be because the tutorials are very brief and you can basically play without the belt or the remote. But I have been to Zumba classes and thats how they are there. I feel like I'm wasting my time when I play. This is basically an exercise routine. Not to be racist but I am hispanic and this was not meant for us.
