Zombies Ate My Neighbors

Zombies Ate My Neighbors is a game published by LucasArts Entertainment for the Wii Game console. It was released with a E10+ rating from ESRB. Players assume the role as one of two brave kids: Zeke or Julie. Both kids actually use the same control scheme and have the same characteristics. Gamers can pair up with a friend and play a two-player mode, where each player must pick a kid. Each player starts with three lives and will be required to earn bonus lives with 10 victims left when a level is finished. The game features 48 levels of giant ants, mad scientists and big babies with seven bonus levels that are indicated by question marks. Gamers earn points and stockpile water pistols and other weapons to progress through the game.

Features

Zombies Ate My Neighbors used to be a 1993 run and gun video game for the Sega Mega Drive/Sega Genesis and Super NES platforms. This game was first developed, distributed and produced by LucasArts as a comical tribute to both classic and B-horror films of the 1950s through the 1980s. It has since been revamped for the Wii game console. The game follows Zeke and Julie as they battle monsters with an assortment of peculiar weapons, fighting through over fifty top-down levels and rescue helpless people in each world. Players can move on to the next level by first succeeding in saving people from the monsters. Gamers navigate suburban neighborhoods, shopping malls, pyramids, and other areas, destroying a variety of horror-movie monsters, including vampires, werewolves, huge demonic babies, evil dolls, and the game's flagship, zombies. In each stage, which includes seven optional bonus levels, the goal is to rescue the surviving neighbors, at which point a magical door opens that will take the player to the next stage. Players must try and save at least one neighbor from each level to progress to the next. Players won't succeed playing the game if by chance they lose all of their lives or if all of the neighbors in the current stage are killed. Players can earn more neighbors to save (but only up to the maximum of 10) by scoring points and extra lives. Each level has a maximum of ten neighbors and each neighbor type is worth a certain amount of points.
