Summary: This is a horrible program. The settings are dark and the instructors are tiny. You have to strain and watch as they do not announce anything. Makes a person wonder why Wii allowed this on the market. Now I understand why Wii will be joining all the has been in the gaming industry. The dealer I purchased this from was great and probably thrilled to get out of their inventory.
Summary: Between doing Yoga poses in Wii Fit and learning about the chakras and wanting to learn to do the associated Yoga poses, I purchased this game. I thought I was getting a good deal when I got it for less than $5. Big mistake - the "story mode" was long and laborious, you spent more time watching your "guide" walk around the temple than you did even learning about Yoga philosophy, and then when you actually did get to the poses, there was no responsiveness or feedback to...
Summary: I was excited to have finally received yoga for Wii. I have to say I am so very disappointed. The graphics is very poorly done with insufficient instructions; there are no custom workouts to follow except for a few targeting specific ares. The whole thing is very confusing. I wish I read the reviews before I bought it. I would not have wanted this software for free. I am VERY VERY disappointed. I wasted my money and time on reviewing this, whatever it is.
Summary: I practice yoga whenever I can and I like the routines on the the wii fit plus when I need something quick. I was very disappointed in this. How are you supposed to do the poses with your head twisted at the screen all the time? The instruction was very poor. They did not walk you through the poses properly or guide you at all, so you felt like you were always missing something.
Summary: Do not waste your time, you're going to end up driving back to the game store to return it!!! This game is AWFUL!! I've been doing yoga for a long time, and was so disappointed! The graphics are ridiculously horrible! And I can't decide if the sound is just as bad, or worse. They don't explain the position at all, or describe how to do it correctly! If your new to yoga, you WILL hurt yourself!
Summary: I was so excited to get this game. I had taken an intro to yoga class, and thought this game would be great for practicing what I'd learned. It was horrible. Like some others have said, the story mode just shows you around a temple. You don't really practice the poses. If you go into training mode you can do the poses, but there is no instruction for it if you don't watch the screen. If you are watching the screen you can't do the poses. Just a bad game in general.
Summary: Don't waste your money on this. I read the reviews before I bought and they seemed mostly positive at that time. Since then, I see there are many that agree with me. The program makes no sense, is poorly organized, and unless you are already practiced in Yoga (I am not), I don't think it will help you at all. I am going to trade it in. What a waste of money!
Useless as a practice aid, might help you learn how to do some postures
W. Wanner "G.W.Buffalo", Amazon
15 February 2010
Summary: If you don't know anything about doing the postures and you don't want to try to learn from a good book, you might benefit from the demonstrations. There are no prompts for moving into or out of the postures in routine mode. Worthless as an aid to practice because you have to be looking at the screen to get the feedback. Most poses require you to look in a particular direction or go within and not gaze at anything.
Summary: This game is not as good as the images look on Amazon. I thought it would be similar to Wild Divine. I think it is a great concept, but it is still SO FAR from being tolerable. The graphics are early 90s, it is painfully slow, it goes back to the logo screen and reloads in between each pose, the colors are obnoxious and not at all relaxing, the instructors do the pose without talking to you during the pose. I was left wondering if I was finished or what....?
