A great example of the evolution of RPGs and a great Wii game

  • Summary: One of the 3 JRPGs from the "operation rainfall", originally this game wasn't supposed to leave Japan, but the hard work of fans of the genre made it happen, so is not only about buying a great, game but also for a great cause. This game is a bit hard to find, but defenitelly worth it, the environments and character interaction were beyond any of my expectations, a must buy for any lover of the genre.

Pros: immense immersive story world/universe Unique characters Cool weopans and equipment Unique battle system great jrpg evolution Great voice acting Minimal grinding required Tons to do! Took me 75 hours and hitting up only portion of quests Not a sequal! Rare these days.

AN IMPERIAL GAME!

NeuroSplicer, Amazon
4 December 2012
  • Summary: XENOBLADE: CHRONICLES (aka: MONADO: BEGINING OF THE WORLD) is one of those great games that (for some unfathomable reason) Nintendo had initially decided not to market outside Japan. It has been available, fully translated, since August in Europe (where my copy came from). This used not to be true for the US. Luckily, Nintendo North America (at last!) yielded to the pressure of the fans and announced the release of the game.

Unique, plot-heavy, emotional, but a bit too dragged-out.

  • Summary: Getting this game was a no-brainer for me when I finally picked up a Wii console. I had only recently played the Xenosaga series made by the same team, and I loved that story so much, I now rank it above all my nostalgic childhood favorites. This game too is amazing in similar aspects. However, the one and only major problem I had with the Xenosaga series is also present in this game, to a much greater extent. But first, the good aspects.

110 Hours Later, I'm Still Undecided.

  • Summary: Xenoblade has been one of my most anticipated games since it was announced. As a fan of Xenogears, and many of the other games that Takahashi has worked on, I'm always thrilled to play new games by his team at Monolith. Many of us waited eagerly for an announcement of a localization. I pre-ordered the game and was excited when it finally arrived. That said, 110 hours later, I found that I was forcing myself to try to finish the last few hours of gameplay.

  • Summary: This review can also be found on http://silverbooster.blogspot.com/2012/06/review-xenoblade-chronicles.html Xenoblade Chronicles The masterpiece that almost never was . . . Developed by Monolith Soft Published by Nintendo for the Wii Released April 6, 2012 After the announcement of the Wii U at e3 2011, the Wii became a footnote in Nintendo's agenda with only The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword to look forward to in 2011 and absolutely nothing in 2012.
