Conclusion: I did not buy this at release because I was not sure but after seeing it is 91 plus reviews I had to give it a go. As a long time gamer this totally renewed my love for RPG's. Graphics are good for the Wii and the world is so beautiful it looks to equal any HD PS3 or XBox360 game in vidual effects. The world is open and you will be happily surprised with the size and volume of this game.
Summary: The Wii, it has to be said, does not really compete that well against the PS3 or the XBOX 360 in terms of game complexity and graphics quality. The games produced for the Wii are generally aimed at a younger audience and those that require an older player lack in the complexity necessary to maintain interest and challenge. However, this is a pleasurable exception to the above generalisation.
Summary: I bought this game because it had received very good reviews. Having played the game for a few hours I have to say that it's very disappointing. The fights are too complicated and they end up being totally chaotic with frantic almost random pressing of buttons. I got to what I suppose you'd describe as an end-of level monster (metal Face) and the fight went on for about 20 minutes before I got bored and went and made a cup of coffee.
Summary: Ok, so I'd like to start this review by stating that those looking for something similar to Final Fantasy 6-9 (and possibly 10) may be slightly disappointed by this game. It does not have the same emphasis on dialogue and character relationships. Story missions are not quite so subtly linked to the plot and, due to the massive amount of side missions and the way the menus are laid out, it's easy to become detached from what's happening in order to focus on collecting...
Summary: 1st id like to say after the reading the reviews i was expecting one of the best rpg games of all time. Sadly it isnt that, dont get me wrong its a very good game but to compare it to the greatest of all FF7 is plain ridiculous. It isnt as good as ff7 but its still very good. the combat system is simple enough to enjoy but complex enough to keep things interesting.
Summary: I've played all the legendary RPGs from Secret of Mana, Chrono Trigger, FFs etc etc. This game is simply one of the greatest ever. It also has one of the most memorable soundtracks in gaming history. A game so epic, I dont know how they managed to fit it all onto one disk playing on the Wii. Simply stunning and a must buy.
Summary: Exciting Characters. Spectacular gameplay. Enthralling story. AMAZING locations. and THE BEST soundtrack I've ever heard. Xenoblade Chronicles is simply the best JRPG in years, streets ahead of the competition! The combat system is simple enough to pick up immediatly yet complex enough to stay fun throughout the adventure.
Summary: This game... THIS GAME!!!! This has to be one of the best games i've ever played; with an awesome selection of characters, music and story makes this my #1 game on the wii. As well as that includingXenoblade Chronicles (Wii)]] side quests, secret areas etc the gametime for even the most skilled players is fantastic with at least 80hours available, and around 40 for the main story itself!
Summary: First off, I warn you... You have to be willing to play for a good 1 and a half, at least. The start of the game was a bit dull to me, I found myself pretty bored but I have a "5 hour" limit for games, I play at least 5 hours before deciding to go on or not... This game got completely and utterly amazing in an instant. The battle system is annoying TO START WITH but you get used to it very quickly, it's not for the unskilled! You have to think about your every move.
