Summary: I've been playing video games since the late 80's and of the thousands of
games I've played I can probably say that Xenoblade Chronicles is within my top
10. The graphics, gameplay, soundtrack (especially the soundtrack) and
presentation are all top notch. And the game is massive.
Summary: The story doesn't let you be with dozens of questions, just a feeling of
plenitude. Even if some (playable or not) characters are not always completely
original, you'll like most of them. Just remember that the game is pretty deep
in every aspect and I played enough game to know what complete means.
Summary: What a game! The story is tremendous though very cliche to other RPGs and Anime series. The combat at first seems very basic but can get quite complex while remaining fun. The controls on the classic controller pro are great. The dub is very well voiced and very Brtish.
Summary: 8.5 Presentation Beautiful design makes up for Xenoblade's graphical shortcomings - but it's disappointing that the dialogue isn't lip-synced. 7.0 Graphics This is the best that the Wii can do, but it's not really up to modern standards. The artistic direction makes up for a lack of technical grunt.
Summary: As I dust off my wii I think about the last great RPG that I got excited about on a Nintendo console and I have to think a long way back to Tales of Symphonia which took me 7 years to complete although I wish I never stopped playing it.
Summary: I still haven't played it through, but after the first minutes you can already tell it's one of the best games for Wii. The system feels good, it's neither too easy nor too difficult, the dialogues are rich and the cut scenes are not boring.
Summary: I'd be the first to say that I don't have much experience with RPGs as a genre, so I admit I felt a little apprehensive when this game first arrived on my doorstep. Would I be able to handle it, I wondered, or was this yet another impulse buy which would end up gathering dust on my already packed...
Summary: Xenoblade Chronicles is, truly, a game like no other. If you don't own a New 3DS and aren't willing to shell out for said console, then this version is your next best thing. Expensive? Yes. But this rarity and gem of a game is worth every penny.
