Summary: It gets four stars due to the Attitude Era Mode alone. Otherwise this game is rather glitchy, especially for the Wii. Worse yet on the Wii you obviously don't get any downloadable content or potential bug fixes/patches. The game sometimes freezes, and at least for the Wii version your create-a-superstars do not get entrance attire. The option is there but it does not work. Ring announcers do not announce your CAS character during your entrance either.
The closest thing to a No Mercy killer in a long time.

Summary: First off, I just want to say that I love the whole Attitude Era aspect of this game. Just the fact that players can recreate some of the biggest matches in WWE history is awesome. As a side note, I was at the King of the Ring when Undertaker threw Mankind off of the Cell, and let me just say, it was so much fun to recreate it fully in the game.
Summary: The career mode is utterly terrible in this game. Terrible. I love to create a character and get really involved in stories in wrestling games but it's not possible in this one. The career mode is basically a never ending repetitive series of matches against what seems to be the same handful of wrestlers that never gets anywhere and has no overall story BUT and the reason why I DO recommend this game, the Attitude Era Mode is really good.
