Wii Sports Resort Review

Cheat Code Central
21 December 2009
  • Conclusion: For a night of casual gaming with friends and family, Wii Sports Resort is great. The inclusion of Bowling and Golf is an added plus, as it would stink to have to swap games in order to play them.

Boys' Life magazine

  • Excerpt: The follow-up to Wii Sports is here: Wii Sports Resort. Is the package worth the $50 price of admission? Wii Sports Resort takes you to a magical island where the sun shines, the ocean is always blue and people are forever friendly. Oh, and they love to play games.

Expert Review

Game Informer
26 November 2009
  • Summary: If Wuhu Island were a real place, I wouldn't mind vacationing there; Nintendo's fictional vacation spot feels innately relaxing. The game's tropical Magnum, P.I. piano music entranced me while I participated in some of the most stress-free minigames I have ever played.

A Miiburger In Paradise

Game Informer
22 September 2009
  • Conclusion: Concept: Expand the ultra-successful Wii Sports with more games and the new WiiMotion Plus control Graphics: The same Miis you've come to know and love frolicking on a bright, cartoony island Sound: The pleasant music borders on generic, but Nintendo always finds a way to charm you with catchy...

  • Excerpt: I remember the first time I fired up Wii Sports, the venerable pack in that comes with every Nintendo Wii. It brought with it some new control features in a console game that that many had no clue existed. Well fast forward to the summer of 09...which happens to be right now.

Wii's World
14 August 2009
  • Conclusion: Conclusion Every so often, Nintendo finds it necessary to release a new peripheral to (hopefully) improve play quality. Wii Motion Plus is essentially that. However, the level the Wii Motion Plus raises the experience to is significant. The potential has been increased.

Wii Sports Resort

Operation Sports
5 August 2009
  • Excerpt: was a bit of a disappointment. While the game provided some realistic motion controls, not to mention the greatest bowling simulation ever, it was difficult to shake off the notion that the game was nothing more than a glorified tech demo for Nintendo's new system.
  • Pros: Addictive gameplay., Hours upon hours of challenges., The perfect party game.
  • Cons: MotionPlus support is not great., The lack of any online modes is diappointing., Some of the 'sports' are simply tech demos.
