It will first be released in June in Japan then in July for the rest of the world. It is said that the Nintendo president named Wii Sports Resort as a measure to combat the Japanese Wii market’s current slowdown (a situation he described as "the most unhealthy situation since its launch in Japan.") He denied that Nintendo would cut Wii prices in order to increase sales, saying, "If our products are not much different from competitors’, price cuts would generate significant fresh demand. But video games are just not that kind of product."
Wii Sports Resorts basically offers players to play all sorts of games at the beach. This game is the sequel of Wii Sports which managed to leave a mark among its players. There’s the Wii MotionPlus accessory that is included with Wii Sports Resort. It can be used by plugging it into the base of the Wii Remote controller and it is combined with the accelerometer and sensor bar. It helps give the players the most responsive and realistic experience possible. It also helps giving players an even greater sense of immersion. The location of this game would definitely be on a resort located on a tropical island. Though not all activities that players will play on this game have been unveiled but some sample activities will include Sword Play, Power Cruising (racing a water scooter) and Disc Dog, which involves accurately tossing a disc to a cute, Mii-like dog.
See lessAt first I though Wii Sports Resort was just going to be a bunch of games that basically show you what you can do with the new MotionPlus, sort of a collection of mediocre games, nothing special really, but I was pleasantly surprised by what’s there. Wii Sports Resorts is, I feel, a must have title for any Wii owner, it offers not only the MotionPlus but a whole slew of fun and enjoyable games for everyone. Granted not all of the games are great, but depending on what... Read more
was a bit of a disappointment. While the game provided some realistic motion controls, not to mention the greatest bowling simulation ever, it was difficult to shake off the notion that the game was nothing more than a glorified tech demo for Nintendo's new system. Outside of bowling, the game offered up barely enough content to keep even the most devout Wii supporter busy for a couple of hours -- let alone a devout sim-style gamer. Read more
This is the problem: the adverts don’t lie. MotionPlus does enable emotive control. Wuhu Island is a fun place to be. Buying three extra peripherals and playing with others will make you happier. If those three others happen to be the rich, good for you: they can fork out for the lot. The rest of us, as always, will have to save up for that perfect day in the sun. Read more
The $50 price tag may seem a bit high but you do get one Wii MotionPlus sensor with the game. You’ll need to buy at least one more, obviously, so you’re looking at $70 to get the complete experience. It’s still worth it. Wii Sports Resort works as both a party game and as something you can use to unwind after a tiring work or school day. My family mostly plays it in half hour bursts but I will freely admit that when I first sat down with Island Flyover, two hours... Read more
Wii Sports Resort is a grander endeavor than its predecessor with three times as many mini-games and a couple extra coats of polish. It is not a "perfect game" by any means, but was it worth the wait and does it warrant an upgrade? I would say so since my original Wii Sports has yet to leave its case since Wii Sports Resort dropped in. Read more

We all know the story of the Nintendo Wii and the pilot game, Wii Sports. The Wii appealed to both gamers and non-gamers with it’s motion controls, family friendly games, etc.. Well, Nintendo’s plan worked and Wii Sports became the best selling game ever. Well, now, we have a new piece of equipment we can use with the Wii, and what better way could Nintendo think of to sell it besides a sequel to the game that started it all? Well, that’s where Wii Sports Resort... Read more
this is one of the most fun party games out there for wii. It has lots of games to choose from and all have multiplayer. Its a must have. Read more
I recently purchased it and I gotta say, I wasn’t very impressed. Out of all of the games (Archery, Frisbee®, Basketball, Cycling, Canoeing, Power Cruising, Table Tennis, Air Sports, Bowling, Swordplay, Golf and Wakeboarding) the only fun game is Frisbee. Just like Frisbee golf, you try to throw the Frisbee as close to the hole as possible, or in this case a huge shining light emanating from the Heavens. Definitely think it would be an awesome game to play at a... Read more
