Summary: I bought WII CHESS for my son that is 9 and he wants to learn Chess. Perhaps this product is not good for WII as it is quite static and WII is made for games with a lot of movements, but I liked the rapidity of delivery and the good conditions of the product.
Summary: ITS TOO GOOD AT CHESS, LEVEL 10. ALL IT DOES IS PLAY CHESS, NO DATA ON GAME AS TO HOW YOU ARE DOING, NO OPENING MOVE NAME RECOGNITION ie THE ENGLISH OPENING, NO CHANGE OF BOARD/PIECE SET-UP. ALL IT DOES IS PLAY CHESS. AND TOO OFTEN TAKES TOO LONG, ESPECIALLY WHEN I THINK ITS LOSING THO IT NEVER DOES!!
Summary: Bought to give as a gift to a keen chess player, so I cannot comment personally, except to say that the recipient loves the game and will sit for hours playing it!! I think that speaks for itself.
Conclusion: Up to 10 levels to get to grips with. For the average player things start getting tough from level 4 onwards. I`ve been on line and had no problems connecting to other players from around the world. You can either connect to players of the same rating (You start off with 1500 points and from there you either gain or lose points) or any ability. Theres some pretty tough players out there! You can choose from two time matches either 5 or 20 minutes.
Summary: very enjoyable and relaxing experience on the Wii, easy to use play controls and a good range of difficulty settings. i am a club player and found the higher levels quite difficult (frequently get beat on level 7!
Summary: I have only tried playing against the computer but it is certainly one of the best chess games available. Challenge the computer Play against people online if you're into chess this is a MUST.
