Excerpt: This is a great game. Lots of fun for a group of friends to play together and get the spectators rocking! Makes you feel like a real drummer! Only thing that's a little disappointing is that the buttons also control other elements of the kits. Be great if there was a drum kit you could buy to go along with the game. Maybe there is? Really recommend renting this game well worth it. In fact I've bought it now.
Conclusion: What a waste of money. First 5 songs (never made it further, it was so dreadful) are REALLY POOR covers of mostly well known hits. The feeling of the game is as simillar to playing real drums as a walk in a park is to driving a sports car. To make one sound you just wave the wiimote up - down, to make another - press A or B, or even hold one of the buttons and wave the controller. I have seen a few drumkits, but none of them had buttons on the sticks.
Conclusion: Thought I'd list the negatives first. As you have a "persona" to play the game with, I didn't think the two initial choices were very representative for me, there should be more. I also didn't think a lot of the songs, the final countdown is really dated, and be my baby isn't a drumming classic, song 2 among others is fun to play but none of them really grab me and there should be more than 30.
Excerpt: When i first saw this game was set to be released, i was soooo excited. I used to play the drums years ago, but not really had the chance to get back into it. As an avid player of the guitar hero games too, i thought this would be pretty similar, and the track listing just added to the quality that i was expecting, Bloc Party, Blur, Queen, Sum 41 to name but a few.
Excerpt: "...tracks include the likes of We Will Rock You, Born To Be Wild and The Final Countdown. However, they're all re-recorded versions that sound decidedly poor next to the originals. Worse still, there's very little prominent drumming in them which decidedly works against the concept. == Controls == You start out by holding a Wii-mote in each hand (yes, this game needs too, but just about everyone has picked up a second one somewhere so that's unlikely ...
Pros: Cheaper than Rock Band and Guitar Hero World Tour
Cons: Weak controls, poor music, a feeble imitation of far superior rhythm games
