Excerpt: Dancing games have a special place in my heart for a few reasons. One, I have rhythm and believe it or not can throw a few moves. Two, my memory of my 90′s clubbing days in Brighton come flooding back and three, I used to have Dance, Dance Revolution and mat on the PS2 to warm up with before necking rediculous amounts of alcohol and gurning like a loon in the Honey Club.
Passable motion game on the Wii; best for fans of the show.

Summary: Parents need to know that this is a game based on the TV reality dance show Dancing with the Stars . It features 10 dance couples from the previous seasons but not the current eighth season contestants. The game is rated E+10 for some song lyrics that contain sexual innuendo.
Conclusion: Despite its short-comings, We Dance is a nice enough little package, and one that is more than capable of standing shoulder to shoulder with it’s main competition – namely Just Dance. It’s far from ground breaking, but does just about enough to appeal to its target audience while offering plenty of scope for expansion. What is disappointing, however, is the lack of refinement seen in the on-screen action.
Summary: UK REVIEW--There are some things in life that just aren't meant to be combined. Take toasters, for instance. They may make delicious toast, yes, but trying to make some while enjoying a relaxing dip in the tub, not so much. We Dance makes a similarly misjudged combination with its controls, combining motion tracking with an old-school dance mat. The result is a painfully difficult experience that only the most proficient multitasker is likely to master.
Pros: Good selection of songs
Cons: Motion controls fail to track your movements accurately, Frustratingly difficult, Tutorial doesn't properly explain routines, Stilted animation, Download store is empty at launch
Summary: The most fun you'll have with We Dance is watching a low resolution video for MC Hammer's U Can't Touch This , which should succinctly sum up just how poor an effort this is. Disingenuous game design is the biggest fault here as We Dance is a title pretending it's something that it's not. It thinks it's a novel cross of DDR and Just Dance : in reality it's step-toe step-toe shovelware and a massive waste of £30.
Summary: Definitely more fun with friends, We Dance is a good party game to have around. If you're lucky enough to have four mats, maybe you could really have a crazy dance party but the most enjoyable mode is just using Wiimotes. For those looking to take things further, the dance mat is for you and it might work well as a bridge towards more 'serious' dance and freestyle games such as Pump It Up or even Dance Maniax... if you can find a machine.
