Summary: This game is in my opinion the best, and most functional tennis game for the wii. The controls are very simple once you figure them out. There are mini-games in the game also to increase your stats, I would give these games a 5.5/10. Here are some pros and cons for the game. Pros: Good gameplay Easy controls If you dont use the nunchuck your character automatically moves to the ball for easy hits Cons: Not much realism if you want to feel like your actually playing...
Summary: Good overall graphics but the score blocks the view of the ball and opponent, with no way to turn it off. In oline HQ World Tour mode the opponent's ball is allowed to bounce twice and allowed to be put back into play. There is big delay from the time the opponent swings and the ball appears. There does not seem to be a way to activate the 2nd controller for 2 players.
Summary: I have to admit, with having a pretty nice sized, diverse gaming collection (on all consoles and handhelds), I LOVE the tennis in Wii Sports -- it's royally addictive! But I wanted to also try a different tennis version that had more realism in the graphics. After reading reviews of Grand Slam Tennis and Virtua Tennis 2009, I chose Virtua Tennis and I'm glad I did. I found I had to adjust my play style as certain controls work a little differently (i.e.
Summary: I really love this game. I got it for Christmas last year and have had many hours of fun playing it since then. I have read that some people find it too easy, but I'm not a natural racket sports player, although I enjoy playing both squash and tennis, and am still improving my technique even after almost a year's practice.
Summary: I bought this just before Christmas last year and loved it. It actually kept me warm during the winter months as I got completely obsessed with it, playing about 3 hours almost every night. I agree with everyone who's said how competitive it makes you. I get really annoyed when I lose, which happens a lot more since I came out of the amateur rankings and into the pro's.
Summary: Its a good game, feels better than Grand Slam tennis by miles.! I have played both on many occasions. Just watch out, this game will get you super competitive when playing against the computer.
