Summary: This is good game playing is fun the arcade games are really fun and the career mode is really good idea but it takes to long to up the ranks of amateur then pro even if your playing on it for ages and winning all the time (very disappointing). The online play is rubbish if you want to play tennis online get Grand Slam Tennis it's way better for that. Other than those 2 problems it's very good.
Summary: I picked this because of good reviews saying how realistic it was, and that it had my fave player in it. I soon sold the game. The players were pretty close to their real life counterparts, movements and grunts. A couple of the mini games held my attention for a day. The career mode didn't make much sense, I couldn't seem to get anywhere because there was not instruction on what I should do.
Summary: Nothing too exciting about this game. I guess I was expecting more due to the favorable reviews on here. The players look like robots and the graphics are very average. The Wii Sports tennis game is basically as fun as this game.
Summary: Although this game is fun it is too easy. Also, there are many inconsistences that are really annoying for real tennis players. The most remarkable problem is with the service: it is impossible to place the ball correctly in the air, so you can keep on making double-faults all the game.
Summary: I tried this game yesterday for the first time and couldn't figure out how to do 2 players even though I chose 2 players in the "Play" mode. There didn't seem to be an option to add the second remote for the 2nd player. It's a little frustrating.
Summary: Why should it be so difficult to setup multi player game Software is controlling your game than your ability to play, I felt tennis game which comes with wii is much better and realistic, I will update my review if I change my view
Summary: The actual playing is fun but the options along the way (sink ships, go shopping, etc) are kind of boring. The competion of the actual matches are good but you have to do some of the other stuff in between matches. Game itself is fun and I do get some exercise while playing which is why I bought it.
Summary: We purchased this game with high exp[ectations and it is a big disappointment. I am an avid tennis player and a programmer so maybe I expect too much. There is very little that is remembered in this game. You have to keep setting things like who is playing and what type of remote you are using. In most cases you feel like you have no control over your player. I did read in other reviews that you have to use the nunchuck to control movement.
Excerpt: "...picked up a copy of Virtua Tennis 2009 for Wii. Unfortunately though I really did not like it and did not find it as good or as fun as tennis on Wii Sports. Virtua Tennis is apparently the world's number 1 tennis series This game is compatible with the Wii Motion Plus which allows for a more realistic movement whilst playing tennis so I was excited about this fact. I was hoping it was going to be just like playing real tennis in the comfort of my ...
