Getting medical simulation type video games is rare so it is really a big deal to find one called Trauma Center: New Blood which was developed by publisher Atlus. This is the third installment in the Trauma Center series developed solely for Wii.

Trauma Center: New Blood offers some new features that they player may not find in previous Trauma Center installments, such as CPR, cooperative mode, new online leaderboards, a complete voice-over dialogue, plus 16.9 widescreen functionality. The player can play Trauma Center: New Blood as either single-player mode, or the multi-player/co-op mode. This version now allows the player to assume game play for both characters via the multi-player/co-op mode. If the Challenge Missions option is chosen, the player will have to do surgery on a certain number of patients under time limit. The plot revolves around the return of Dr. Markus Vaughn to the dysfunctional Concordia Medical Institute.

Review Summary

Trauma Center New Blood describes an Alaskan hospital where two talented doctors, Dr. Markus Vaughn and Dr. Valerie Blaylock are using their valuable talent on treating simple illnesses and maladies. Dr. Vaughn has mastered the invaluable healing touch, while Dr. Blaylock is following closely. Circumstances won’t allow these two doctors to spend all their time on small tumors for long, and they are soon called upon to face a new terrifying medical menace named Stigma. New Blood allows multiplayer co-op mode. Two players can join together to do operations and curing illnesses. Each doctor is delegated his own score, making the game competitive where each would like to score more. Both players can use both the Wii-mote and Nunchuk, making the game more interesting in the sense that you can delegate duties and make the impossible become possible. One doctor can control the patient’s heart while the other is performing an operation. Wow this experience can be amazing; you’ll feel like you're a real doctor doing his the job. Some gamers would even feel that they have missed their calling. For people who complain that there are no difficult games on the Wii, then let them try New Blood and see whether they can perform well. Even hard cores of Trauma Center: New Blood find it much more difficult as well as interesting and addictive.
