Summary: i chose this rating by how well my sons liked it. They used it quite a bit at first but then seemed to lose interest after a while. It seemed that they got bored with it. However the product did perform as it was suppose to and was well made.
Summary: We bought this game as a Christmas gift for our son. I read some of the other reviews, and expected problems with the set-up. We had some difficulties the first day, but once we got the game up and running, it worked fine. From our son (who's nine): I love the game. I love the graphics. I like how you are actually the skateboarder. You can do different tricks by yourself and not be holding the controller to do the tricks.

Summary: I had every problem mentionable in the reviews. I exchanged the game thru amazon. I spent many hours researching what could be wrong. I came across ONE review where the guy said he had to upgrade his Wii using wireless settings. SO easy to do & the game works PERFECTLY now! Instant connection between dongle & board & the board responds to every move we make & we're having tons of fun!
Summary: Got it for the boys this Christmas (age 11 & 14). Its a bit difficult at first but they got the hang of it. Their 22 year old sister came to visit any she had a blast, too. They rated it 4 stars.
Summary: Initially when I first heard that Tony Hawk Ride was being released for Wii, I was really excited to get it. I was counting down the days until it would be released. For some reason, I decided to hold out on a pre-order and see what people had to say about it (because of the price). The majority of the reviews were very poor, and made me think twice about getting it. Finally, I decided to just take a gamble and purchase it even amidst all of the bad reviews.
Summary: Overall great game. I'm someone who always wanted to skateboard, owned a skateboard but could never find the time to master a real one, probably never will find the time. With a hectic work life this is great fun just to escape for half an hour or more. There are a few sync issues. It will cut out mid game but sync back in afterwards quickly. Although twice it's needed a full Wii restart.
Summary: What can I say.......Took it out of the box, put the batteries in, plugged it up and followed the instructions which only took a few mins to go through. The board calibrated first time and we where up and running in about 10 mins from start to finish. The game is OK for all the family, some skateboard heads might say it nothing like the real thing.......well it won`t be will it !
Summary: I got this for my son who's 11 who is well into his skate board. The instructions that came with the board are good and easy to follow. To set the board up was painless to set up & this was completed within a few mins. The WII console had to be upgraded to play the game, this was straight forward as the the console is already setup to wirless broadband, the upgrade only took a couple of mins.
Summary: This game is fantastic - you dont need to know anything about skating or be able to ride a skate board it is fun for anyone. We have had problems callibrating the board - you have to do this with each profile you set up the first time you play. This may be a one off with our board - thats the only reason I have given it 4 stars. Other than that it is brilliant for playing on your own or with friends and the board feels really sturdy.
