Tony Hawk: Ride Skateboardn Review

Jeffery L. Carey Jr. "brokencogmedia.com", Amazon
4 September 2011
  • Summary: The Tony Hawk Skateboard bundle is not worth buying. We have never been able to get it to work. We have spent a lot of time trying different things we read online to get it to work, but it still will not work. From what I have read, many people have this same issue with getting it to calibrate and some are successful, but no product should be this discouraging to use.

We purchased 2 of these....1 for Wii & 1 for our PS3

lyne, Amazon
25 November 2010
  • Summary: The 1 we got for the wii is fun, although you just get into it & the board looses connection as soon as you really get into it!!! The ps3, we have yet 2 get it to connect to play it @ all! I would have returned it but I had purchased it a while earlier for the grandkids b4 they came to play it!I definetly WOULD NOT risk it to make the purchase again! They have some issues to work out of them for sure!

Blaaaaa

E. Kohler "Latcho Drom", Amazon
31 August 2010
  • Summary: Paid $90.00 for this at Christmas. Tried it once or twice just to make sure I'm not missing something. It does tricks and rides whether your on the board or not. Chucked it into the yard sale pile. Blaaa...junk...enough said.

Stopped working. Not happy.

A. Vu "AV", Amazon
28 February 2010
  • Summary: My son received this for Christmas. It was fun until the board stopped connecting to the Wii about 2 1/2 months later. I've followed all of the troubleshooting tips on Activision's site without any success. Fortunately we're within the short 90-day warranty period so I'll be sending it back for replacement. What a hassle. I don't have much confidence that a new one will last much longer.

Tony Hawk Wii skate board

Virginia L. Diaz, Amazon
24 January 2010
  • Summary: My son loved this game, however, he has not played it since he first played it. The board would not cut off and the batteries were dead by the next day. I keep meaning to call about it but have been busy so now here I am. I spoke to a sales rep at a local gamestop and they said that they had similar complaints from customers.

Wish it would work!

L. Hart "Disappointed", Amazon
15 January 2010
  • Summary: Purchased two of these for Christmas presents. First one was opened, hooked up, began to play and everyone had a great time. Turned it off, came back a few hours later and it would not do anything. Never could get it to do anything. Second board was opened, by the other family it was given to, starting playing, having a great time, would not turn off. Had to take the batteries out and then put them back in when it was time to play again.

Won't stay calibrated

Annie, Amazon
8 January 2010
  • Summary: We gave this to our son for Christmas, and it was a big disappointment. The calibration kept failing and the only way he could get it to recalibrate was to remove the batteries. After a couple of tries, he became so frustrated that he stopped trying to play with it.
