Summary: I've been renting this game for a few months now from my local store, thinking that if I like it well enough I'll buy it. Well, I still haven't bought it. That should be a clue that it's not the greatest game out there. Let me start by saying that I have not played the 07 or 08 version, so the putting issue is something with which I am not familiar. The last TW game I played was the 06 version for PC, but some things have still not been addressed by EA.
Summary: When I purchased this game, I was under the impression that Multi-Player was for all aspects of the game.(Not true) I later found that it is multi player as far as competing against eachother, If you are looking to be able to go on a tour and compete with your partner It ONLY gives that option for online play. I did enjoy the all play aspects of the game, It's fun.
A fair improvement, but leave it if you've got '08

Summary: As the title says, I wouldn't take this if I had '08 and I'm sure '08 is abit cheaper anyway. Don't get me wrong its good, very very good - visual are nice, controls are almost 100% and it plays well (as well as all the other anyway). Marketed as 'all play' this really means that when you've put the controller down from you PGA attempt you kiddie can pick it up and access a version of the game with simplfied controls and a load of kiddie party mini-games.
Summary: This game on the Wii is certainly an improvement to just pressing buttons on the PC as was the previous golf game I had (prior to Wii sports). The courses are much more realistic then the Wii Sport golf game but some of the shots are unrealistic as in the putting stroke where you have to use almost a driver type swing to sink a short putt. The draw & fade control by rotating the wiimote is also a bit hit or miss despite the additional coaching facility.
Conclusion: When I got my wii one of the first things that I wanted was a proper golf game. After having a previous TW title on my old Xbox I thought that this version would be ideal. To be fair it is good fun once you get the hang of the swing and putting systems. Unfortunately it's spoilt by bugs that I can't believe weren't picked up during testing.
Summary: The game is simple enough to pick up but the putting physics are just plain wrong. Decent graphics, decent overall gameplay. This sort of game is what the Wii is made for, it's just such a shame that the physics let it down.
