Summary: I love the "sims" games. I've played the games on multiple consoles, and I love them all. I have to admit, though, I didn't like this game that much. The story is slightly fun, but the gameplay is very annoying. Story-You were on a ship, and the weather got bad and tossed you overboard. You soon find yourself on a deserted island. Your goal is to search around the island and either find a way off or build a home there.
Summary: Pros: Interesting storyline Variety of objectives New maps and hidden areas to discover Moderately challenging puzzles to solve Different patterns to collect and craft Traditional Sim "motives" to keep a sim happy Make your own home Cons: Clunky controls and interface Bugs still present in published game Repetitiveness of gathering can become pretty tedious A little too short for overall playtime I'm an avid gamer, so when I heard about the Sims Castaway game, I was...
Summary: I love the Sims and this game was very interesting the first time played. However, you can only have one saved game at a time and after you've made it to the end, I lost interest in it. It gave me a few weeks of interesting play, but I haven't touched it in 3 years.
An enjoyable way to pass an hour but it didn't have me rushing back to the console

Excerpt: I have only ever played Sims on PC and was very excited to try this version on the Wii. At first I really enjoyed the game play and found the controls easily mastered. Your Sim has to work their way around the island and collect enough supplies and skills to progress onto harder tasks.
Summary: I liked this game. I found it pretty easy to get through, and alot easier to make your character happy than in other Sims games. Nice graphics, and a really nice island feel. The only thing that I didn't really like is that the tropical storms should be more sever and that I don't think that there would be that much domestic vegetation available on a deserted island.
Excerpt: I bought this game as I was a massive Sims fan when I had my PS2 but I was quite dissapointed. The graphics are quite good, average for the Wii I would say. When you first start playing the game it is quite exciting as you have to build a shelter, make a fire, wash in the sea, all the basic things for survival really. In order to build certain items you need to collect wood, vines etc from the jungle. You also collect all the food you need from the jungle.
Excerpt: I am a huge fan of all the Sims games and have played it on several formats. I thought that the Nintendo Wii would bring something different than the others formats as you can interact using your wii remotes. Instantly the graphics and quality of the game is apparent as it so not as good as the other formats (PC, XBOX etc) but this did not put me off. It was persumed that this would be the case but it was not the worse graphics that I have came across.
