Summary: sims 2 castaway. Ive been a big fan of the sims 2 but i dont think it works well on the wii. Its hard to control at first using both your nut chuck and remote. You start of makeing your own sims to go onboard the boat. you end up on a island were you need to collect stuff to build like your tent, clothes a bridge, your friends are the chimps and collect things for you to swop for a banana.you will see parrots and chickens running around.
Excerpt: "Castaway on the Wii was not as good as I expected it to be. It says for 12+ on the box,my 10 year old played it without any trouble. I am a huge fan of the Sims 2 on PC and have every expansion pack and Stuff pack thatt comes with it, only purchased Castaway on the Wii for three reasons... *to get my PC back from my son *the advertising on TV for it looked fantastic *and my computer was being upgraded and I needed a SIM fix! I was disappointed ...
Pros: FILLED A GAP WHILE MY PC WAS BEING UPGRADED !
Summary: I finished the whole Sims Castaway PS2 game in 7 days with no guides. The concept is great but I don't think it was taken far enough. Perhaps they rushed to get it out for Christmas? It had huge potential and I felt cheated at the end. The treasure was a severe let down as were the buildings. They should have done this for PC. As an extensive PC Sims 2 player, the PS2 was severely lacking in Sim actions.
Pros: The exploring aspect of the game in the beginning is great fun.
Cons: Once you've played it through once, there's nothing more to see, do or explore. It does not keep evolving like other Sims games.
Conclusion: I love The Sims series but this game i just cant get into i spent quite some time looking around but thats all I seem to do, I must point out it does look nice and it will be good when it gets going but its just not like the other games where you are thrown into areas where you have so much to do. This takes time.
Summary: Bought a Wii as a christmas pressie for my two girls - the console is amazing - we love it! Got Sims Castaway thinking they would love it as they have it on PS2 and on PC. It has caused world war 3 in our house - my oldest daughter started the game and it wasn't until my youngest wanted a go that we discovered that only one game can be saved at a time - how rubbish!!!!! Even on the PC game you can save different families/games etc.
The most un-fun and frustrating Wii game I've ever played.

Summary: I own 15 Wii games, and like all of them to some extent, but The Sims 2 Castaway is awful. After reading high reviews elsewhere I thought this would be a great game, but I just can't find it fun in it. To start with there is only one save game slot. This means, essentially, that only one person can play the game per console. Secondly, the game is infuriatingly slow to play.
