The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess is categorized as an action-adventure video game available on Wii game play version. Here the player can re-assume the character of the hero Link who has surprising powers in this version, like being able to turn into a wolf and being able to kill characters as a wolf. The voice acting is minimal. Princess Zelda also makes an appearance in this video game. One common element throughout all the Legend of Zelda games is that they all emphasize the role of music to highlight the state of play. That is true even with this one, which is why Nintendo has come out with a separate Official Soundtrack of the video game series as well.

Twilight Princess is like a surprise. The game goes more than your expectations and amazes you even more. The more you go into the game, it becomes even more surprising, such as some completely original items, as well as dungeon design that you haven’t seen before. Legend of Zelda titles are about the Princess of Hyrule, Zelda who is in trouble from some magical creature and a young boy, Link who will be her savior. He will have to go around dungeons, solving puzzles, collecting various items and abilities, mastering these abilities, and overcome all evil on his way with a sword and shield. In Twilight Princess, you become Link, and at times you will also be transformed into a wolf, and explore the Twilight to wake up the sacred light spirits that have been caught by the same evil powers as Zelda. Overall, the game provides a perfect mixture of familiar and brand new elements. Twilight Princess is mostly a dark and serious game, though not as threatening as the promos may imply. There are cheerful sequences and fanciful characters; the game also has a sense of humor. The backdrop is not limited to greens, browns, and epic battle music. The visuals are colorful but keep the suspense alive. All of the skills that you learn in this game, as there is an array of new features make the Zelda game different and unique. Most importantly these features do not repeat themselves.

Of those who played Ocarina of Time on the Nintendo 64 way back in 1998, there are few who can look you in the face and honestly say it was not one of the greatest games ever made, let alone the greatest title in The Legend of Zelda series. With creative character and levels design, a compelling story that weaved itself in and out of the fabric of time, and arguably some of the best graphics for the time, there is no doubt that the game set the bar very high. More than any other console or company, Nintendo's reputation is built around their franchises. Though Mario is the poster boy for the company, when it comes to critical acclaim and the adoration of the fans, probably no other name is more heralded than that of Link. So with the launch of the Wii, of course someone from Nintendo's staple would have to show, and luckily fans have The Legend of Zelda to look forward to. Read more

During the days of E3 2006, I had the opportunity to go hands-on with the new The Legend of Zelda game for both the Nintendo GameCube and Wii. As is always the case with the series, the gameplay was superb, and the E3 demo only made me want to play the game more. Read more

There is nary a gamer out there who would deny that The Legend of Zelda is one of the greatest franchises of all time. The series, first appearing on the NES, has been incredibly successful, delivering near-perfect adventure experiences that were groundbreaking at release and are still easy to appreciate. When the series made the jump to 3D on the N64 with Ocarina of Time, it adapted perfectly, and is remembered as one of the best- if not the best- adventure games of all... Read more

Is this the best Zelda ever? No. Is it still fun? Absolutely. Twilight Princess is as immense and epic as adventures come and should be an obvious choice for new Wii owners. But that’s where this game falters. You can’t ignore this was supposed to be a GameCube game, and nothing proves this more than how unintuitive the button layout is on the Wii remote. It takes way too long to get used to. The only thing that kept me coming back was that, hey, this is Zelda. And... Read more

One of the best games I have ever played. I don't own an xbox or ps, just a Wii so I would have no idea about Halo or any other games like those. Even though I am a cheater, it's still fun to play. Read more

The Legend of Zelda series of computer games follow a similar pattern, but this similarity is welcomed. You know you'll play a young boy and have to save the land from a great evil and rescue the titular princess Zedla. This time round however they've turned you into a wolf of sorts when you go into the dream world, it's really refreshing that a game series that has been going on for so long still manages to challenge you and change it's gameplay, but not in a way that... The Legends of Zelda: Twilight Princess for the Nintendo Wii is an amazing game. If you're a fantasy, action adventure fan, there's so much to love in Link's first outting on the Nintendo Wii. It has some awesome visuals, a huge, expansive world, a surprisingly dark and mature storyline, and a lot of creative dungeons to explore. On top of that, the Wii remote actions are implemented quite well. Swing the remote and Link swings his sword, etc. It works well and using it... Read more

I have been playing Zelda games since that wonderful gold cartridge came out for the NES. I felt Zelda reached perfection in the N64 release of Ocarina of Time. I feel now that Twilight Princess gets as close to hitting that mark as anything can ( like the original Star Wars movies you must know that nothing can compare to what came first). The story line is easy to get lost in. I constantly felt compelled to play longer to figure out more of the story line. The controls... Read more
