A SIX OUT OF TEN

S. M. M., Amazon
17 February 2014
  • Summary: About half way through this game I realized "oh no.. I'm going to be one of those people that hate a 10/10 reviewed game" the more I played the more I realized I CANT BE INSANE but this game is TERRIBLE for a Zelda. I could go on for 30minutes giving precise detail in how this game disappoints me. I watched so many reviews, so pumped for this, and I even loved Wind Waker. The least liked recent Zelda game. After Twilight Princess I was PUMPED for this.

The worst canon Zelda ever.

Nick C., Amazon
27 December 2013
  • Summary: To date I have played numerous Zelda games, which include: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. All of these games were great, and played very well. I bought Skyward Sword expecting the same greatness from Nintendo. It took me a while, but I was sure my purchase would be worthwhile, even if the game had aged considerably. Unfortunately, I could not be any more wrong.

Terrible controls ruin the experience

B, Amazon

  • Summary: I finally got around to playing Skyway Sword, a year and a half after it's release. If there is one thing I can't stand about the Nintendo Wii, is the lack of option to play with a traditional controller. Skyward Sword is no exception. I have played every Zelda game since the original (on all consoles and handhelds). This game had a lot of promise but the "waggle" of the controls drove me to insanity.

Good game for children, not for adults.

  • Summary: Zelda the non talker but a giggler, gasper, and squealer. Okay so full disclosure I am an adult and grew up playing Zelda, Zelda, Link to the Past, Ocarina of Time, Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. I thought Twilight Princess was a pretty adult Zelda and Wind Waker was kind of young so this is probably like the two combined. Wrong. This game is for five year olds at best and is even more child like than Wind Waker was.

Poor controls and weak game play doom this game...

Amber Mason, Amazon
23 March 2013
  • Summary: Coming from a Legend of Zelda fan, I would highly suggest by-passing this particular installment to the franchise due to the number of flaws it has. 1. The control system is horrid and requires the motion-plus controller or controller add-on. This wouldn't be bad, if the controls responded fluidly, but they do not and unfortunately the game was built with exact and fluid movements in mind.

Worst Zelda game.

Amazon Customer, Amazon
24 February 2012
  • Summary: As someone who has played Zelda for their entire gaming life, the series holds a special place in my heart. The land of Hyrule was always a place worth visiting. While some games were certainly better than others, the console titles rarely disappointed. Worlds that only Nintendo could deliver. Countless hours of fun to be had. What more could anyone want? It was one of the best series around! That is, until November 20th, 2011 . . .

If you loved past Zelda, you will soon be disappointed with this one....

  • Summary: I'm a definite Zelda fan but where does anyone come off calling this new game awesome?? It is so slow and b-o-r-i-n-g. Forget trying to fly the dang bird - it's a major pain! And if you get stuck and dare ask the spirit for advice, she'll be sure to rattle on something completely insignificant. Nintendo messed up with this game and I bought it only to turn around and sell it. Boo! Don't be fooled. It's not like the rest. The Gorons don't even have the same sound anymore!

A bit overpriced for a sound track CD

  • Summary: Ugh where to begin with this game. Clunky controls are a great way to start. As you progress through this game using link as somesort of dummy for the motion controls you will find that almost every enemy in this game is a motion puzzle and bearly any can be fought in normal awesome combat. Next is the hub world of skyloft. This is the only place you will really be for items, quests not involving dungeons etcetera.

Zelda Galaxy

45ZER0, Amazon
19 June 2012
