Summary: One of the best games I played in Nintendo Wii. At first it's a bit hard for me to play this game because of different play style this game have compare to the ones I usually play. Anyway, your character will auto atk the targets you choose, and you can't really combo atks like hack and slash style, however, you still can perform different atk skills just like Final Fantasy games.
Summary: Single best-feeling RPG I've ever played. Hands down. And I've played a lot of them. I really got into the game mechanics- which were executed on screen in a fashion similar to other RPGs but the mechanics and level-ups were different. I really got into the characters and actually cared about what happened to them. There were Easter eggs everywhere and some references and shouts-out to other RPGs that were subtle but when you see them you laugh.
Summary: This game really exceeded my expectations. I was anticipating a sort of run-of-the-mill adventure fantasy-ish game to pass the time avoiding homework but what this game delivered was an engaging story, unique gameplay, fantastic voice acting, and it was just fun. The humor was top-notch and the characters and story were so interesting that I didn't even mind that you can't explore much of the world surrounding the main island.
Summary: Playing a Hironobu Sakaguchi-produced/Nobuo Uematsu-composed game is like watching a Wes Anderson-directed/Mark Mothersbaugh-composed movie: the story might be different, the characters are not the same, the setting changes completely, but some elements unquestionably link the separate works.
Summary: OMG i don't even! The character development & story progression doesn't skip a beat. And there's quite a bit of hidden passageways for those who are looking. Great cinematic moments as well, although i don't know if i should call them that, it looks identical as when you are just running around exploring & attacking.
Summary: After completing it, this was instantly promoted to one of my favorite RPGs for its fun combat and incredible storyline. I know a lot of people didn't like this game because it is very linear and has no diverging options (compared to other video games); but I want to assure that this game is ABSOLUTELY worth picking up because what it lacks in options it makes up for in top-notch quality.
Summary: Bought this during a deal storm late at night. Last Story was something i bought on a whim and it became a pleasant experience. The story really just throws you in there and the characters are just sublime, each with his and her own personality, quirks, annoyances even. The gameplay is strange, but i got the hang of it, skills to utilize and magic to cast so you can't just hack and slash away ( seriously, watch out).
Summary: I was really looking forward to play this game, after knowing that It was created by Hironobu Sakaguchi and musicalized by Nobuo Uematsu. The gameplay is fresh and fun, mixing strategy with classic JRPG elements. Yet it has some flaws, for example the storyline has a lot of plot holes and it is not really interesting or engaging, and the game can be completed in less than 25 hours, which is kind of short for an RPG, but it has its own charm, besides the localization work...
Summary: I could write a novel sized review about this game, but suffice it to say, it is unquestionably one of the best RPGs I have ever played and a top 10 game of all time for me. I have played and beaten all final fantasy games (save for the MMOs), tales of symphonia, and countless other RPGs and this is right up there with the best. Fantastic and original, albeit quirky, story and keeps the player interested like a page-turning book would.
Summary: I don't really feel like spending too much time discussing this game. This is a rather late review, having purchased a year ago. I would say it is a lesser game overall than Xenoblade, but a worthy game in any Wii collection. Some unique skills and ways of looking at action RPG gameplay. Very fast paced, and quite a bit of fun. Fantastic and epic boss fights. For the price this game is going for, certainly worth a try.
