Summary: I played through this last year, having purchased it based on other positive reviews. I loved the music, characters, and gameplay. The voice acting was very well done. There were a few light moments where I literally laughed out loud, something unusual for me. I enjoyed the fresh take on battles and fortunately the game is somewhat forgiving in that area. The tutorials were exceptionally well done, with segments of video to help explain certain tactics and maneuvers.
Summary: One of the best games I played in Nintendo Wii. At first it's a bit hard for me to play this game because of different play style this game have compare to the ones I usually play. Anyway, your character will auto atk the targets you choose, and you can't really combo atks like hack and slash style, however, you still can perform different atk skills just like Final Fantasy games.
Summary: Single best-feeling RPG I've ever played. Hands down. And I've played a lot of them. I really got into the game mechanics- which were executed on screen in a fashion similar to other RPGs but the mechanics and level-ups were different. I really got into the characters and actually cared about what happened to them. There were Easter eggs everywhere and some references and shouts-out to other RPGs that were subtle but when you see them you laugh.
Summary: This game really exceeded my expectations. I was anticipating a sort of run-of-the-mill adventure fantasy-ish game to pass the time avoiding homework but what this game delivered was an engaging story, unique gameplay, fantastic voice acting, and it was just fun. The humor was top-notch and the characters and story were so interesting that I didn't even mind that you can't explore much of the world surrounding the main island.
Summary: Playing a Hironobu Sakaguchi-produced/Nobuo Uematsu-composed game is like watching a Wes Anderson-directed/Mark Mothersbaugh-composed movie: the story might be different, the characters are not the same, the setting changes completely, but some elements unquestionably link the separate works.
Summary: OMG i don't even! The character development & story progression doesn't skip a beat. And there's quite a bit of hidden passageways for those who are looking. Great cinematic moments as well, although i don't know if i should call them that, it looks identical as when you are just running around exploring & attacking.
Summary: After completing it, this was instantly promoted to one of my favorite RPGs for its fun combat and incredible storyline. I know a lot of people didn't like this game because it is very linear and has no diverging options (compared to other video games); but I want to assure that this game is ABSOLUTELY worth picking up because what it lacks in options it makes up for in top-notch quality.
Summary: Not a fan of the Wii. Motion controls are not my cup of tea even though there is really nothing wrong with it. Last story caught my eye because I am a huge fan of JRPGs and it uses the Classic Controller. I expected this game to be good and I wasn't disappointed. What I didn't expect was this game being one of my all time favorites. The plot is usual JRPG stuff with very little to make it stand out from other games of the genre.
Summary: This game is awesome. The next final fantasy. I love the characters so much more than the past few RPGs I've played. You will fall in love with them. The story becomes interesting and grand, I felt like I was watching a mix of final fantasy 7 and 8. I was unimpressed with the non movement of characters mouths at certain parts, only in 2 non cg cutscenes I believe. Yea, they use cg cutscenes all right. Doin it old school.
