Summary: The Dog Island was one of the first games I purchased for the Wii. After coming across a handful of positive reviews, I wanted to give it a try (plus, I'm a big dog lover). Am I glad I did! The game was very enjoyable. First off, for anyone who loves customization- there is plenty in this game! Next to the usual pick your name & gender, you get to select what breed of dog you would like to be....and the list is freakin' huge!
Summary: Graphics in the game were very cute and we did like that we could pick our character from a very wide variety of dog breeds. However, there was a lot of reading in the game. It's not a game that my 6 year old could play by himself b/c there was just too much reading involved that is currently above his reading level.
Summary: I love the dog island. It is a game for dog lovers who love adventure. You can choose your own dog and gender and choose the name. My first time trying the game I was a bit shocked by the enemies and eventually warmed up to them but I am still a bit cautious around some. It starts out easy but gets harder each time you complete a task but that's what I think makes it fun. You can go places and customize your dog and you create items.
Summary: This game is very family friendly, and it got interest of my son. It may not be as fast action as Lego City Undercover, but that's a relief in our fast moving world both in real life and in games. One can enjoy time playing it and forget about all the rush! It allows kids to relax and show their love for others.
Summary: This probably isn't what you're expecting, ignore the fact that it has Ubisoft's logo on it. It's a full blown adventure game. The fetch quests can get a bit tiring after a while, but there's something about this game that's just so relaxing. Music's incredible, too. Worthwhile if you're looking for something just a bit different, something slower paced.
Summary: This game is fantastic. My family loves the dog island game and have taken three different dogs through the entire game. While this is a one player game, it is just as fun watching and strategizing with the one playing as it is to play it. We have enjoyed helping each other go through some of the more challenging portions (each one of us has a strength).
Summary: A few summers ago, I found this game at a video rental store and was immediately hooked. Iwent back and renewed every week until I had finished the game about three times. I have since moved away, and have no video rental stores in the area. Recently, I had a sstrong urge to play the game again, so I looked on amazon. I was suprised at the price of a new THE DOG ISLAND game. $40- that's crazy. It's not even a new game.
